June is PTSD Awareness Month.
At Acres for Life, we meet people where they are — with compassion, patience, and the healing partnership of horses. PTSD can affect anyone, and it often shows up in ways the world can’t see. But healing is possible, and no one has to walk that path alone.

Our equine‑assisted psychotherapy programs create space for grounding, connection, and rebuilding trust — at your pace, in your way.

If you or someone you love is living with PTSD, you’re not alone. We’re here, and healing is here too.

Throughout the Gathering, hat storyteller Stephanie Murphy, will guide us in exploring the stories we carry — and the stories we create — through the symbolism of hats.⁠

As part of your experience, you'll receive a suede baseball cap or have the option to upgrade to a Western-style hat. ⁠

Wow! What an incredible month as Acres for Life participated in the Horses for Mental Health campaign.

Because of your generosity, encouragement, and willingness to share our story, thank you!

This year, our primary goal was to spread awareness. We wanted more people to learn about the impact of equine-assisted therapy, understand the support available through Acres for Life, and help us reach beyond our existing network.

And thanks to you, that happened.

Whether you shared one of our videos, commented on a post, talked about Acres with a friend, invited someone to follow our page, served as an ambassador, or made a donation, you played an important role in helping us expand our reach and introduce new people to our mission.

Together, we helped more people discover that this kind of support exists. Along the way, we also raised more than $5,000 to help further the work happening in our barns and pastures.

This campaign was about more than fundraising. It was about a community coming together to say, "This work matters, and more people should know about it."

Thank you for helping us share our story, grow our community, and spread awareness about the healing, connection, and hope that can be found through equine-assisted therapy. We are honored to serve this community and grateful to have you alongside us.
