Shine provides Day Habilitation Services and Supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which is community-based. We support the abilities and skills needed to access typical activities of community life. These include community education and volunteer activities. Our services give opportunities to create and build relationships and natural supports in the community

. Our support inspires greater independence, socialization, inclusion, and personal choice. We strive to advocate for and empower each individual that we serve.

Our Shine members had another great day volunteering at the Food Bank for Larimer County. Opportunities like this give our members a chance to contribute to their community, build skills, work as a team, and experience the pride that comes from helping others.

At Shine, we believe some of the best experiences come from being active, engaged and connected within our community. Whether we’re enjoying the outdoors, discovering somewhere new or trying something different, each day brings opportunities to learn and grow. 💛

Just as important are the connections we make along the way. Spending time with people of all abilities, building relationships, sharing experiences and creating a greater sense of belonging for everyone.

Finding strength, balance, and a little bit of zen. 🧘💙

Every Monday, our participants enjoy adaptive yoga with the wonderful Casandra at Sumu Wellness! Through gentle movement, stretching, breathing exercises, and mindfulness, everyone has the opportunity to move at their own pace while building confidence and having fun.

Adaptive yoga is a great way to improve flexibility, balance, relaxation, and overall well-being and the smiles say it all!

A huge thank you to Casandra and Sumu Wellness for creating such a welcoming and inclusive experience each week. We are so grateful to have this as part of our Monday routine! 💙✨

🦴🌍 A day full of discovery at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science!

Our group spent the day exploring exhibits from around the world, walking among incredible dinosaur fossils, learning about wildlife, traveling through ancient Egypt, and even experiencing the stars. There was something exciting around every corner!

Community outings like these encourage curiosity, spark conversations, and create opportunities to learn together while making lasting memories. We had a fantastic day exploring, laughing, and sharing new experiences. ✨
