🌿 Florida Medical Ma*****na Update – 2026 🌿
Medical cannabis continues to evolve in Florida, and staying informed helps patients make the best decisions for their health.
🩺 Telehealth Renewals Remain Available Patients who have already completed an in-person evaluation with their physician may be eligible to complete renewal certifications through telehealth with that same physician. Initial certifications still require an in-person examination.
📅 Remember the Two Renewal Timelines • Your physician certification must be renewed every 210 days (about 7 months). • Your Florida Medical Ma*****na Card must be renewed annually through the state registry.
🏛️ Potential Legislative Changes Florida lawmakers have considered proposals that could extend certification periods, increase allowable supply recommendations, and provide additional benefits for veterans. These proposals have generated significant discussion but are not yet current law.
🌱 Patient Access Continues to Expand Florida physicians may recommend medical cannabis for a broad range of qualifying conditions, including chronic pain, PTSD, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other conditions of the same kind or class as determined by the physician.
💚 At Med Leaf, we believe informed patients make empowered patients. If your certification is approaching expiration or you have questions about medical cannabis treatment options, our team is here to help.
