OG Anunoby is using his championship spotlight to help some local cats get noticed.

Fresh off helping lead the New York Knicks to an NBA title, Anunoby has partnered with Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), Royal Canin, and VCA Animal Hospitals to spotlight five adoptable shelter cats. The campaign, called "OG's Starting Five," highlights cats currently waiting for homes in New York City's largest shelter system.

To encourage adoptions, the campaign is offering a year of free cat food and veterinary care for adopters. Royal Canin is also donating $300,000 worth of pet food to animal shelters across the U.S. Animal advocates hope the effort will help more shelter cats find loving families.

BluePearl Brentwood and the America Red Cross are hosting a combined human blood drive and pet donor screening on Monday, June 15th from 12-6 pm at BluePearl Brentwood. Thanks to everyone who already signed up to help save lives - the human blood drive portion of the event is officially full️!

However, there is still a critical need for pet blood donors. BluePearl will be conducting pet blood donor screenings during the event, and we encourage pet owners to complete a pre-screening application in advance at bluepearlvet.com/blood-bank.

We'll be at the event with a booth - even if you aren't registered for the blood drive, we'd still love for you to stop by and see us!

We're proud to support our selected cats from Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), with additional support from VCA Animal Hospitals. In celebration of OG's love of cats, 50,000 lbs of pet food will also be donated in his name via Greater Good Charities.
