Right after treatment, swelling can make the lips look fuller, uneven, or more projected than they ultimately will. I always remind my patients to give them time to settle before deciding how they feel about the result.

The after photo is exciting… but the healed result is what we’re really waiting for.

Injector humor aside 😂

When someone tells me “10 units froze my whole face,” I already know there’s more to that story.

For perspective, 10 units is actually a relatively small dose in many commonly treated areas. What matters is WHERE it was placed, WHAT product was used, your individual anatomy, muscle strength, and the treatment pattern.

So no, the number “10” by itself doesn’t explain why you felt frozen.

Most days I’ll give the full anatomy lesson.

Today? Ms. Jones said 10. We’re doing 10. 😂

For this patient, maintaining a natural look was the top priority. By carefully placing filler in the midface, we were able to subtly support the under-eye and cheek area while keeping her results soft, balanced, and completely undetectable.
