Summer's here! βοΈπ΄π Mandi the .up.piercer is piercing today 12-7pm (and she did these cuties shown here too!)
Now, let's talk navel piercings.
There are different body types, which calls for certain jewelry to be used to accomplish a perfect navel piercing.
Floating Navels are used like in the first three photos - when the upper navel shelf is more rounded, and/or when the navel shelf is completely closed.
Traditional Navel piercings have more of a sloping edge that allows for the jewelry to sit naturally without distorting the piercing.
Lower navels require a 'seat' for the jewelry to sit on as seen in the last photo .
The #1 RULE is still the same - any fresh or healing piercing SHOULD NOT be submerged under water. (Showers are fine, that way you can thoroughly clean)
If you plan to get a navel piercing this season, you must anticipate not being able to put your new piercings underwater and subjecting them to potential infection or healing complications.
Healing timeline is 6-9+ months using a sterile saline like H2Ocean/NeilMed twice a day on a paper towel to dampen and wipe away any crusts, then thoroughly dry.
Must be 13+ (with parental consent for all minors) Must have physical Birth Certificate/Custody paperwork, photo ID for the minor, and parent/legal guardian with their ID.
Pricing starts at $25 including 316L Surgical Steel, $40 for Titanium, $60 for Gold, $60-90 for Floating Navel (Titanium or Gold)
