We're looking for a relationship-driven fundraiser who is passionate about donor engagement, strategic portfolio development, and growing philanthropic support from individual donors, with a focus on gifts of $15,000 and above.
This role will help strengthen major gifts and planned giving efforts while building meaningful donor relationships that advance Marklund's mission.

Fans of the Fighting Irish pivoted its support to Marklund today when members of the Aurora/ Fox Valley Notre Dame Club buddied up with some our residents for a rousing game of Marklund-style baseball. While visiting our Hyde Center campus in Geneva, they assisted their new friends with hitting, fielding and running the bases, and cheered on everyone's sporting efforts while enjoying a good-hearted competition. Taking part in America's favorite pastime, fits with our mission of making everyday life possible for individuals with profound disabilities. We love welcoming the Club members back each year to our adaptive ballfield, and appreciate them volunteering their time to Marklund and helping support our mission.

Marklund’s Government Relations Manager, Mary K., represented at the National Association of Private Special Education Centers Legislative Day 2026 in Washington, D.C.
Mary met with seven legislators—including Congressman Bill Foster and Congressman Jonathan Jackson—to advocate for critical bills impacting our MDS schools and funding. Her message was clear: the decisions made in Washington have a direct impact on how organizations like Marklund are able to serve individuals with profound disabilities.
Because of Mary’s efforts and the advocacy of the Marklund Action Network, our mission—and the voices of those we serve—are being heard on Capitol Hill.
