Please join us in congratulating Allison Brown BSN, RN, CNN, on her promotion to Vice President of Accreditation Services at NDAC.

Since joining NDAC in 2018, Allison has conducted accreditation surveys nationwide and brought extensive experience in regulatory compliance, infection prevention, dialysis water and dialysate quality, patient safety, and survey readiness.

Her career in nephrology spans clinical, operational, regulatory, and accreditation leadership across in-center and home dialysis settings. Allison is also a respected author and educator whose contributions include published work in the Nephrology Nursing Journal and the Core Curriculum for Nephrology Nursing.

We are grateful for Allison’s leadership, expertise, and dedication to the dialysis community. We look forward to the continued impact she will make in this important new role.

Accreditation Readiness Is a System, Not a Binder
Facilities preparing for survey often focus on the binder — policies printed, tabs labeled, everything in order. While we love order, organization and key documents which are readily accessible, a binder alone doesn’t guarantee that the system works.

True readiness and compliance isn't a static state sitting on a shelf. It's an ongoing and dynamic discipline of watching indicators, practicing a culture of safety, questioning shifts in performance, and showing the decisions that followed.
The strongest facilities aren't the ones with the thickest binders. They're the ones where leaders are dynamically involved and engaged in these disciplines.
