As I look back, the last 13 years of your education seem to have flown by in an instant. But behind those years was an incredible journey of hard work, determination, sacrifice, tears, disappointments, and perseverance. Through it all, you never lost sight of your goal and never gave up.
What amazes me most is that I rarely heard you complain. I never heard, “I’m tired.” Instead, you would light up and say, “Yay! Last night I got home early and got 8 hours of sleep!” Always cheerful. Always smiling. Always finding joy even during the most demanding times.
And nothing describes your dedication better than the fact that she was actually scheduled to work on her graduation day. After years of studying and training, one of the biggest days of her life was still just another day of caring for patients and fulfilling her responsibilities. That level of commitment speaks volumes about the physician she has become.
Your strength, discipline, work ethic, and positive attitude have inspired everyone around you. Today, all of your dedication has brought you to this incredible milestone, and I couldn’t be prouder.
Congratulations, my beautiful daughter. You worked for this every single day, and you earned every bit of it.
The world is lucky to have you as a physician, and I am blessed beyond words to have you as my daughter.
