Joint Injections: What Patients Ask Most Often 🤔
At Wellness Medical Center, we offer a variety of joint injections to help patients manage pain, improve mobility, and support recovery — including treatments for the knees, shoulders, elbows, heels, and more.
Here are some of the most common questions we hear:
💉 Are joint injections painful?
Not usually. We use local anesthetics to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
🏃 Can I go back to work afterward?
Yes. Most patients return to their normal daily activities the same day, although we recommend avoiding heavy physical activity for a short period.
✔️ Can multiple joints be treated during one visit?
In many cases, yes. Depending on your health history and treatment plan, several areas can often be addressed during the same appointment.
📅 How often can steroid injections be performed?
Typically every 3–4 months, with most patients receiving no more than 3–4 injections per year in the same area.
❓ Do steroid injections damage the joints?
When used appropriately and under medical supervision, joint injections are considered a safe and effective treatment option.
🔹 Will I eventually need surgery anyway?
Not necessarily. Joint injections can help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, support healing, and in many cases delay or even eliminate the need for surgery.
At Wellness Medical Center, we believe in personalized treatment plans designed to help you move better, feel better, and live better.
