For the past three years, Jalicia has brought passion, excellence, and respect to Chelsea each day, leading with heart and a deep commitment to residents and staff.
Her dedication to long-term care is rooted in life-changing moments — like seeing a resident walk out of Chelsea after eight months in the facility. He had arrived in a wheelchair with one goal: to return to the community as independently as possible. With determination, support from our team, and the help of our Social Worker in finding a new home, he did exactly that — leaving Chelsea on foot, without assistance. Moments like these are a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
Jalicia is also passionate about challenging the misconception that people in skilled nursing facilities do not care. At Chelsea, care is deeply personal. Our team is always looking for ways to make residents smile, feel fulfilled, and know they are truly seen. Many staff members understand this work from both sides — as caregivers and as loved ones advocating for family members of their own. That perspective brings even more compassion to every interaction. We know each resident has unique needs, and we strive to treat every person like they are the most important person in the room.
Creating a culture where residents and staff feel valued begins with living our core values every day. Jalicia leads by listening, being present, honoring resident preferences, and celebrating success. She makes sure residents feel heard and appreciated, while staff are recognized, encouraged to share ideas, and supported in their growth.
