GoochlandCares is grateful to be a partner with Patterson Companies and the Patterson Foundation in support of our Dental Clinic!

The recently applied our core company value of “always advancing” to its grantmaking strategy, with the launch of Signature Grants, marking an evolution in how we support nonprofits.

This invitation-only grant opportunity provides a one-time $60,000 award, which will support capacity building, organizational growth, and expanded access in the fields of dental care and assistance dog training. By increasing both the size and depth of the Foundation’s investments, Signature Grants represent an intentional step toward deeper, more holistic relationships.

In total for Q1, the Patterson Foundation awarded nearly $250,000 in grants, which includes Signature Grant recipients Can Do Canines and Community Smiles Dental - Wisconsin, along with 13 additional nonprofits.

Just a FEW of the over SIXTY neighborhoods, churches, and businesses who have donated food for our Annual Community Food Drive!!! Saturday's drop off day collected over 16,000 pounds alone. GoochlandCares Annual Community Food Drive was featured in CBS6's "Good News" of the week! This Saturday, volunteers collected over 16,000 pounds (and counting) of food. The incredible turnout of volunteers and donations is all thanks to you!

🥫❤️ The annual Goochland Community Food Drive collected more than 12,000 pounds of food Saturday for a pantry serving nearly 400 families a week. 🥫❤️

Heads up for this weekend! The Clothes Closet is CLOSED on Saturday as we collect food from 30 neighborhoods. There's still time to donate food to help us reach 50,000 lbs! On Saturday, will be at the Goochland and Manakin Food Lions collecting from 11-4. We are also collecting food until May 31st!

PurposeLeigh Purses was established in honor of Danielle Leigh, who passed away in a car accident. Her family fills purses with everyday essentials like toothbrushes, shampoos, flashlights, etc. We were lucky enough to receive a donation in the Clothes Closet that will go directly to ladies in need.
