Intrapersonal Collusion
As soon as you feel anxiety,
you have likely left the now.
You are consciously or unconsciously
making up a story,
based on your past,
projecting the possible negative consequences
into your future,
and then feeling what this would be like.
You are dwelling in 100% fiction.
The longer you hang out in an anxious tale,
the more your mind will collude with itself,
adding more and more scenarios and justifications,
leaving you feeling even more miserable.
This begins to interrupt
your ability to recognize
the free-flowing order
of Grace in your life.
These make-believe hell rides
can consume our lives.
Wouldn’t it be easier
as soon as you feel anxiety
to acknowledge the feeling,
arrest the story,
and come back to the naked now?
It doesn’t need you
to co-author its bogus scripts.
