Don’t know what Adoptee Remembrance Day is? Adoptee Remembrance Day is observed each year on October 30th. It is a global day of truth, remembrance, awareness, and solidarity dedicated to honoring adoptees whose lives have been forever impacted by adoption. It is a day to remember the adoptees who died too soon through su***de, homicide, abuse, neglect, systemic failures, deportation, addiction, homelessness, institutionalization, and other adoption-related tragedies that are too often ignored or forgotten. It shines a light on the heartbreaking realities that rarely make headlines and challenges the world to acknowledge the lifelong consequences adoption can have on those who live it.

Big Bend. None of the pictures or videos you will ever see can do it justice. Even though I’ve been many times and almost bought property there, it still takes my breath away when I drive into the area. You don’t realize how majestic it is until you are there. Every time I get on here I start crying my eyes out. It’s heartbreaking to see how they are destroying this pristine, untouched land.

I have no faith in government and haven’t in years, but I’m going to call Abbott tomorrow, for whatever that’s worth. And I may have to go down there. I’ll see. 💔Anyone else from up here going?

Bucket list item complete!

For the last 5 or 6 years I had been to 49 states. This summer I decided to go back to New England to do some more exploring and knew I had to go to this one last hold out. It’s easy to see why I hadn’t been there yet. It’s tucked way to the east. The irony is that is where I was conceived and I still have biological family there.

I made it to Rhode Island and got to meet my 88 year old aunt! It was beautiful and emotional for me. The whole trip had a healing aspect to it. Setting boundaries, facing shadows, connection. So glad I made that effort.💖

I want with all my heart to help others on their healing path. If you want to connect with someone else who is doing the work and keeping it real, I’m your girl. It’s definitely not always pretty or easy, but it is worth it. 🥰
