Born Clinic

Born Clinic We provide personalized, patient-centered care that blends the best of traditional therapies with modern medical science.

Our focus is on identifying and treating the root causes of chronic illness while promoting proactive, daily wellness and prevention INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
The Born Clinic is an integrative medicine clinic where highly individualized patient testing and treatment plans are developed by “integrating” conventional Western medicine with complementary medicine such as bio-medical and holistic treatments

. The doctors at the Born Clinic are fully licensed as either M.D. or D.O’s and follow a functional medicine approach of medicine. The doctors and physician assistants have training and access to many of the new cutting edge treatments. There is an on-site nutritional pharmacy and much of the latest equipment such as hyperbaric oxygen chamber, PEMF (magnetic pulse generator device) and photoluminescence . FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE PHILOSOPHY
The Born Clinic follows a functional medicine approach when practicing medicine. In the simplest terms this means following a personalized approach to medicine by seeking to treat the underlying cause of disease—not just manage the symptoms of it. This science-based, patient-centered medical system is based on the functional modalities central to many conventional and complementary practices. But its primary distinction from some of these approaches is a focus on overall health—physical, mental, and emotional. It's not a single treatment for a single disease (or its symptoms). NUTRIGENOMICS
Functional medicine aims to restore health and improve functionality by intervening at multiple levels to address core clinical imbalances. Therapeutic lifestyle changes (TLC) and targeted nutrition to promote healthy genetic expression (nutrigenomics) are two patient-centered, functional medicine modalities that can be easily implemented into a wide variety of treatment plans.

Meet Bri Gallagher, NP

Bri began her medical career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bethel University in Minnesota, where she spent more than 3 years caring for patients at the bedside while becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her hospital experience included caring for patients in medical, surgical and stroke units, along with serving as a COVID care technician in the ICU during the height of the pandemic.

Seeing patients during some of their most difficult health challenges helped shape Bri's approach to medicine today where she became passionate about helping patients improve their health before they reach a crisis.

At Born Clinic, Bri takes a holistic, preventative, and patient centered approach to each of her patients healthcare.

Rather than looking at symptoms in isolation, she works with patients to understand the different factors that may be contributing to how they feel. Bri's goal is to help patients better understand their bodies, identify underlying contributors to illness, and build a personalized path toward better long term health.

Bri's passion for caring for others extends beyond medicine. She has participated in cross-country mission trips serving alongside local churches and communities and spent a summer in Ukraine teaching English to children.

More recently, Bri welcomed her first baby! Further strengthening her passion for supporting women and families throughout their health and wellness journeys!

Don't Wait Until Something Is Wrong! Whether you're struggling with chronic symptoms you haven't been able to resolve, looking to understand your health on a deeper level, or simply want to be proactive about staying healthy, Bri is ready to partner with you.

For more than 12 years, Chris Haan, NP, has cared for patients across a wide range of medical settings. Now, he brings that experience—and his passion for proactive, personalized care—to patients at Born Clinic.

Meet Chris Haan, NP

Chris began his healthcare career as a registered nurse after earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ferris State University. Over the next decade, he gained extensive clinical experience in both the Emergency Department and Operating Room, caring for patients during some of their most critical moments.

His operating room experience exposed him to a broad range of specialties, including:

Orthopedics
Neurological surgery
Thoracic and vascular surgery
Urology
General surgery
Transplant
Trauma

After years of caring for patients when something had already gone wrong, Chris became increasingly interested in a different question: What can we do earlier to help people build and maintain better health?

That growing passion for prevention and proactive care ultimately led Chris to earn his Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University and become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

A Different Approach to Your Health

At Born Clinic, Chris believes that good health is the foundation for nearly every part of life. Rather than focusing only on individual symptoms, he works alongside patients to better understand the bigger picture of their health, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop a personalized plan based on their individual needs and goals.

Whether you're managing ongoing health concerns, looking for answers, or simply want to be more proactive about your future, Chris brings more than a decade of real-world medical experience and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to every visit.

Seasonal Allergies May Start in the Gut

Every spring, many people experience sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and a runny nose. While over-the-counter allergy medications may provide temporary relief, they often focus on managing symptoms rather than exploring potential underlying contributors.

At Born Clinic, we take a deeper look at factors that may influence immune system function and inflammation. One commonly overlooked area is gut health.

The Gut and Your Immune System

A significant portion of the immune system is connected to the digestive tract. The gut plays an important role in helping regulate how the body responds to food, environmental triggers, and allergens.

When the gut becomes inflamed or imbalanced, the immune system may become more reactive. For some individuals, this may contribute to heightened responses to pollen, mold, and other seasonal allergens.

Seasonal Allergies May Be a Sign Your Body Needs Support

Rather than viewing seasonal allergies as something you simply have to endure each year, they may be an indication that the body is under stress or dealing with underlying inflammation.

By identifying and addressing factors that may be contributing to inflammation, some patients experience improvements in both allergy symptoms and overall well-being.

Can Improving Gut Health Help Seasonal Allergies?

In many cases, patients report improvement when gut health and inflammation are addressed as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Patients commonly report improvements in:
• Nasal congestion
• Sneezing
• Itchy or watery eyes
• Sinus pressure
• Digestive symptoms
• Chronic inflammation and fatigue

At the Born Clinic, we may recommend food sensitivity testing, targeted nutritional support, and personalized treatment plans designed to support gut health and optimize immune function.

Ready to Explore a Functional Medicine Approach?

If you struggle with seasonal allergies, digestive issues, fatigue, or other signs of chronic inflammation, our team at Born Clinic may be able to help.

Call us today to schedule a consultation and learn how a personalized functional medicine approach may help you feel your best this season.

Many people believe nutrition is simply about eating the “right” foods in the right amounts. But what’s often overlooked is this:

The right foods for someone else may not be the right foods for you.

At Born Clinic, we frequently see both children and adults who are doing everything “right”—eating healthy, making good choices—yet still struggle with frustrating, unexplained symptoms.

These may include:

Bloating or digestive discomfort
Skin issues such as rashes or itching
Joint aches or inflammation
IBS or irregular digestion
Fatigue or brain fog
Mood changes or irritability
In many cases, these symptoms aren’t random. They can be your body’s way of signaling that certain foods are not working well for you.

Why Food Sensitivity Testing Matters

Food sensitivities are often subtle and delayed, which makes them difficult to identify on your own. You may feel fine when you eat a food, but experience symptoms hours—or even days—later.

That’s where targeted food sensitivity testing can help.

By understanding how your body uniquely responds to specific foods, we can:

Remove the guesswork from your diet
Identify hidden triggers
Create a personalized nutrition plan
Help reduce inflammation and improve overall wellness

Personalized Nutrition—Built for You

Your body is unique. Your nutrition should be too.

Instead of following generalized diets or trends, testing allows us to tailor recommendations specifically to you—helping you feel better, think more clearly, and function at your best.

Take the Next Step

If you’ve been dealing with symptoms that don’t seem to have a clear cause, food sensitivities may be the missing piece.

Call Born Clinic today to learn more or schedule your testing.

Your body already knows what works—and what doesn’t. We simply help you uncover it.

Are you, or someone you know, scheduled for surgery?

At Born Clinic, we offer specialized IV Nutritional Therapy designed to help patients prepare for and recover from procedures by delivering essential vitamins, minerals, and hydration directly into the bloodstream. Many of our patients choose to add pre- and post-surgery sessions to their care plan as a convenient way to maintain optimal nutrient levels. We generally recommend two IVs before and two IVs after your procedure. No provider appointment necessary.

Why patients consider pre- and post-op IV Nutritional Therapy:

-Replenishes key nutrients that support everyday wellness.
-Provides rapid hydration and electrolyte balance.
-Helps address the increased nutritional demands that can come with surgery and recovery.
-Delivered in a comfortable, medical-grade setting with personalized formulations.

If you (or a loved one) have an upcoming procedure, we’d be happy to discuss how pre- and post-operative IV Nutritional Therapy might complement your recovery journey.
