Who’s the real you underneath?

We spend a lot of time working on what people can see. But real growth should happen on the inside too.

Your heart. Your character. Your mindset. Your integrity.

This message had already been on my heart, and hearing Pastor Rashad Fant preach on a similar theme Sunday felt like confirmation.

“People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

Don’t just ask, “How do I look?”

Ask, “Who am I becoming?”

Positivity attracts positivity.

Start your week with the right mindset.

Friday Facts: Sepsis Is More Than “Just an Infection”

Not every infection stays “just an infection.”

Sepsis is the body’s extreme response to an infection, and it can become life-threatening quickly.

It can develop from infections in places such as the lungs, urinary tract, skin, or gastrointestinal tract.

Warning signs can include:

• Fever or feeling very cold
• Fast heart rate
• Fast breathing or shortness of breath
• Confusion or changes in alertness
• Severe pain or discomfort
• Clammy or sweaty skin
• Feeling extremely ill

If an infection is getting worse and someone looks or feels very sick, do not wait. Seek urgent medical care.

Knowing the signs of sepsis can help someone recognize when an infection has become an emergency.

Your health is one of your greatest investments. Take care of it, because you deserve to live well.

Friday Facts: Facts that inform. Knowledge that transforms.

Thoughtful Thursday: What You Normalize Can Shape Your Life

Just because you have gotten used to something does not mean it is good for you.

Sometimes we become so accustomed to stress, poor treatment, unhealthy routines, chronic discomfort, lack of sleep, or constantly putting ourselves last that those things begin to feel normal.

But familiar does not always mean healthy.

You are allowed to question what you have learned to tolerate.

Sometimes change begins when you stop asking,
“Can I handle this?”
and start asking,
“Should I have to?”

Awareness gives you the opportunity to choose differently.

Take an honest look at what you have normalized. Some things may deserve acceptance. Others may deserve attention, change, support, or help.

Your health is one of your greatest investments. Take care of it, because you deserve to live well.

Thoughtful Thursday: Pause. Reflect. Grow.

Wellness Wednesday: Your Stomach Is Not Supposed to Fight You After Every Meal. 😂

If every meal ends with bloating, burning, cramping, gas, constipation, or a full-on negotiation with your stomach… your digestive system may be trying to tell you something. 😂

Occasional indigestion happens, but frequent symptoms can be related to things like:

• Acid reflux
• Constipation
• Food intolerances or sensitivities
• Eating too quickly
• Large or high-fat meals
• Medication side effects
• Other digestive conditions

The important part is not to normalize feeling miserable every time you eat.

Pay attention to patterns. What did you eat? How much? How quickly? What symptoms showed up? How often is it happening?

If your symptoms are frequent, worsening, or interfering with your daily life, it may be time to talk with your healthcare provider.

Your health is one of your greatest investments. Take care of it, because you deserve to live well.

Wellness Wednesday: Learn. Laugh. Live well.
