Another certification. Another layer of understanding locked in.

Grateful to officially be Body by Breath® Certified and even more grateful for the knowledge, perspective, and tools this training provided.

One of the things I appreciate most about Jill Miller and her work with Tune Up Fitness and Jill Miller is her ability to bridge anatomy, movement, breath, fascia, nervous system regulation, and self-inquiry in a way that is both deeply scientific and profoundly experiential. She doesn’t just teach what the body does. She teaches us how to listen to it.

As someone who spends her days helping people improve breathing, speech, swallowing, sleep, and overall function, I’m always looking for better ways to connect the dots between structure, function, and lived experience. This training added valuable tools to that toolbox.

Thank you, Jill, for your decades of curiosity, research, innovation, and commitment to helping people better understand their bodies from the inside out.

Always a student.
Always learning.
Always finding new ways to help people breathe + be.

“Immediately, she recognized her breathing was more open and free.”

Sometimes the biggest changes aren’t the loudest.

Not a new gadget.
Not a complicated protocol.
Not a quick fix.

Just a little lion learning to trust her body.

In Leona Learns To Breathe Leona discovers that when she listens to the wisdom already inside her, everything begins to feel different. Her breath becomes easier. Her body feels calmer. Her confidence grows.

Because breathing well isn’t just about air. It’s about feeling safe, strong, and free.

One breath - lesson - little lion at a time.

When your client says her injector thought she was cheating on her because her jawline looks more defined after three sessions …

Listen, my goal is not to sn**ch your jawline.

My goal is to help you breathe well, speak well, swallow well, sleep well.

My goal is to help restore function.

But sometimes when you improve tongue posture, strengthen the muscles of the airway, establish a consistent oral rest posture, and become a habitual nasal breather, the face starts reflecting those changes, too.

And no, I’m not mad about it!

Especially for women entering perimenopause and postmenopause, this matters more than most people realize.

As estrogen declines, muscle mass, muscle tone, tissue support, and sleep quality can all be affected. The airway is no exception.

Structure matters. Function matters.

Learning how to strengthen the muscles of your tongue, throat, and airway while improving breathing mechanics can support better sleep, more restorative rest, improved recovery, and greater resilience throughout the day.

So no, I can’t promise a “sn**ched” jawline. But I can help you build a stronger, more functional airway. And if your injector starts asking questions … well, that’s just a bonus.

What if one of the keys to a better breath was already inside your mouth?! Spoiler: It is and it’s called your TONGUE!

Your tongue isn’t just for talking, chewing, and swallowing.

It’s part of your upper respiratory system, too.

When the tongue rests gently in the palate, it helps support the airway, encourages nasal breathing, and creates the conditions for a more balanced breath.

Not by force.
Not by clenching.
Not by trying harder.

But by learning where it belongs.

In Leona Learns To Breathe Leona discovers that small changes can create big shifts. A lifted tongue. A quieter breath. A calmer body.

Because sometimes the most powerful lessons aren’t about doing more. They’re about learning what your body was designed to do all along. 🤍

“You must ressssst your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth.”

Simple words. Big lesson.

In Leona Learns To Breathe Snake isn’t teaching Leona to be perfect. He’s teaching her to become aware.

Because WHERE your tongue rests matters.

It can influence how you breathe.
How you swallow.
How your jaw develops.
How your body feels.
How stable and grounded you are in your body!

Most of us were never taught where our tongue belongs. I know I wasn’t! So we compensate, adapt, brace, clench, and do the best we can with the skills that we currently have.

But awareness creates choice. And choice creates change. And the more we learn to listen, the more we learn to grow.

“Where isssss your tongue?” Snake asked, tilting its head.

Such a simple question. But what if the answer could change the way you breathe, sleep, focus, speak, swallow, and feel?

In Leona Learns to Breathe, Leona meets a curious cast of animal friends who help her discover that the body is always giving us clues. Sometimes we just need to learn how to listen.

Snake’s question isn’t really about the tongue. It’s about awareness. Because before we can change anything, we first have to notice it.

So ask yourself … Where is your tongue right now? Is it resting on the roof of your mouth? Are your lips gently closed? Is your breath moving quietly through your nose?

Curiosity is often where transformation begins. And I can’t wait to help you learn more, one breath at a time.

“The more you use your nose, the more balanced your breath becomes. This is how you unlock your power.”

What if one of your greatest superpowers was already built into your body? Because it is and its called your nose.

Your nose helps warm, filter, and humidify the air you breathe. It produces nitric oxide. It helps regulate breathing patterns. It helps your body find a calmer, steadier rhythm.

The more you use it, the more your body learns what balanced breathing feels like.

More calm. More focused. More balanced.

That’s just one of the lessons Leona discovers in Leona Learns to Breathe.

She learns that power isn’t found in breathing harder. It’s found in breathing better. Breathing well.

Because sometimes the most powerful things aren’t the loudest … sometimes they’re the things we’ve had with us all along.
