Six months ago, we opened our doors with a dream, a whole lot of faith, and absolutely no idea just how much this little place would come to mean to us.

We hoped people would come. We hoped they would love it. We hoped we could build something worth being proud of.

What we didn’t know was that the people who walked through our doors would become the very best part of it all.

Today, we’re celebrating six months, and in honor of our little number six candle, here are six things we’re especially grateful for.

1. We turned a dream into something real.
Something that once existed only in conversations, late nights, and big dreams is now a place we get to walk into every morning. And somehow, it’s even more special than we imagined.

2. We built relationships that go so far beyond appointments. We’ve celebrated your engagements, weddings, birthdays, new babies, and some of life’s biggest moments. We’ve laughed with you, listened to you, and sometimes even cried with you. You may come to us for a treatment, but we hope you leave knowing you mean so much more to us than that.

3. We created a place where you never have to question whether you’re enough. A place where you’ll never be made to feel like you need to fix everything about yourself. Where your concerns are heard, your trust is protected, and your beauty is never measured by how much you spend.

4. We grew our little Skin Sense family.
We welcomed another provider, expanded our vision, and opened the door to even more ways to care for you. Every new service, every new opportunity, and every decision we’ve made has been with you in mind.

5. We found a community that believed in us.
You shared our posts when we were trying to get our name out there. You told your friends about us. You left reviews, sent encouraging messages, and showed up for us. Some of you trusted us before we had a reputation, before we had a full schedule, and before we had anything but a dream and a promise to give you our very best.

We hope you know we haven’t forgotten a single bit of that.

6. We learned that success looks a little different than we thought it would. Of course, we’re proud of the growth, the appointments, and the milestones. But six months in, success looks more like a client walking through our doors and feeling at home. It looks like someone trusting us for the very first time. It looks like seeing a familiar name on our schedule and genuinely getting excited to see them again.

And maybe the biggest accomplishment of all is that we’ve built something people want to come back to, and something we’re incredibly grateful to be a part of.

When we look back on these first six months, we won’t remember every busy day, every long night, or every little thing that didn’t go according to plan.

We’ll remember the people who showed up for us while we were still figuring it all out.

Because the truth is, you didn’t just help us grow a business. You helped two girls believe that something they dreamed about could actually become something beautiful.

We know there are so many places you could choose to go. And the fact that you choose to sit in our chairs, trust our hands, and allow us to be even a small part of your life is something we will never stop being grateful for.

One day, we hope to look back at these pictures and see just how far Skin Sense has come. But we also hope we never forget what it felt like to be right here, six months in, realizing that the dream we prayed for is now our everyday life.

Here’s to the first six months, to every person who helped get us here, and to all the beautiful things still ahead.

We may have opened the doors to Skin Sense, but you’re the reason there’s something so special behind them.

I’ve been on both sides of this.

I’ve compared myself to others. I’ve wondered why someone else was growing faster, doing more, or succeeding in ways I wanted for myself.

But I’ve learned that comparison rarely moves you forward. Inspiration does. Some of my biggest growth has come from watching people succeed and choosing to learn from it instead of feeling threatened by it.

Someone else’s success does not diminish your own potential. You can spend your energy questioning someone else’s success, or you can let it remind you of what’s possible for you.

One keeps you watching them.
