I want to bring you to a place where you are connected to your body. I want to help you regulate your nervous system. I want you to love who you are.

Through craniosacral work and yoga sessions, you can slow down, help heal your nervous system, and feel empowered to do what God created you to do in the body He gave you.

I am still scheduling FREE private Hatha yoga classes. You can help me get my certification by taking one of these classes. They are private, beginner friendly, and are a great time to slow down and breathe.

You can contact me at 517-769-4679, [email protected], or FB messenger to schedule a craniosacral session or a FREE private Hatha yoga class.

Happy National Dog Day!

Owning a dog provides a holistic health boost, combining physical exercise, emotional support, social engagement, and stress reduction. These benefits are supported by multiple studies and apply across age groups, making dogs valuable companions for both mental and physical well-being. ~ The American Kennel Club

Please don't discount the power of the food we eat. Contrary to popular belief, food was not created just to fill our bellies. Food is how we get the nutrients our bodies need to survive and function each day. We don't just magically exist. God put nutrients in food so our organs systems will do what He designed them to do. Food has the power to harm us or heal us. Yes! Food can heal the body. Or it can kill us. What are you going to choose today? Do you want to live well and thrive? Choose wisely what you put into your body and save the junk food for special occasions.

Having a healthy gut is important for emotional and mental well-being. The gut produces about 90% of the body’s serotonin, a key mood regulator. Dysbiosis (imbalanced gut microbiota) can reduce serotonin production, contributing to anxiety, depression, and irritability.

Eating a wide variety of fresh produce and quality meats can help build up your gut microbiome. Don't forget to chew your food until it is almost liquid before swallowing. This can enhance nutrient absorption and lower your possibility of candida in the gut, which can lead to illness.

What we eat becomes a part of us. The food we put in our bodies on a daily basis can harm or heal.

I am not talking about that piece of cake eaten for a special occasion or that pizza enjoyed when hanging out with friends.

I'm talking about the daily habit of processed food. When we eat cereal, canned soup, prepackaged foods, pizza, chips, fast food, cake, and so on every day, it will impact your physical, emotional, and mental health in a negative way.
Eat meat and fresh or frozen produce every day and leave the processed junk for special occasions.

Cereal eaters - if there is one thing you can do to improve your health it's to stop eating boxed cereal.

Boxed cereal offers you no health benefits and is full of harmful ingredients. The synthetic vitamins in cereal are not absorbable by the body. The toxins in the boxed cereal can do a lot of harm to your waistline, brain, heart, and liver.

Eat REAL food instead. There is no such thing as breakfast food! Eat leftovers (heated up on the stove, not the microwave). Have homemade soup or a salad for breakfast. If you want traditional breakfast food, eat whole eggs, old fashioned oats that have been soaked overnight, sourdough toast with mashed avocado, preservative free ground turkey or chicken sausage. Homemade sourdough pancakes with real maple syrup are amazing! Make sure to include vegetables with your meal.

Don't get stuck in a rut. Eating a variety of foods is just as important as eating healthy foods. Choosing quality meats and fresh produce is highly recommended to help prevent many different illnesses but make sure you change things up every once in a while.

The experts say that you should aim for 30 or more different plant foods each week. This can help prevent nutrient gaps, reduce the risk of chronic disease, support gut health, and enhance nutrient absorption.

Going for a postprandial walk is good for your health!

Walking for 10-30 minutes after a meal can help lower blood sugar levels and improve digestion. Doing this regularly can help regulate blood pressure and reduce inflammation. You want to aim for a low to moderate intensity. Too much of a workout too soon after eating can inhibit digestion.
