📣 Men’s Health Week is here and we're urging men to prioritize their health before it becomes an emergency.

Men are often more likely to delay seeking care, even for serious symptoms. Four common reasons men end up in the ER include:
🔹 Chest pain
🔹 Abdominal pain
🔹 Trouble breathing
🔹 Head injuries

These can all signal life-threatening conditions if ignored. Don’t wait for an emergency. Talk to your doctor about any issues, check in on your mental health, and know when to seek help. It could save your life. 💙

Yesterday, the PACEP Board of Directors kicked off the new leadership year with their summer meeting. Highlights include continued discussion of legislative initiatives, the creation of new programming to enhance engagement with residents and early-career physicians, leadership development, and approval of the delegation representing Pennsylvania's emergency physicians at Council26.

The board also received updates from ACEP Board Chair and PACEP Past President Dr. Chadd Kraus and PAENA President-elect Stefanie Miller. The next board meeting will be held on September 16th at Reading Hospital, immediately following PACEP's Central PA Residents Day.
