Last week, PACEP Immediate Past President Dr. Liz Werley was interviewed for a Washington Post article about the measles outbreak in PA. Lancaster County is the epicenter of PA, reporting 45% of the state's cases. Dr. Werley is medical director of the ED at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center.

EM is on the frontlines 24/7/365. Our thanks to American College of Emergency Physicians - ACEP for the connection and bringing awareness to the issue and what EM is doing during this outbreak.

Public health workers are relying on word-of-mouth immunization clinics to fight the state’s growing outbreak.
