We hate to break it to you.

Sunscreen will not fully come off with just one pass with a water-based cleanser.

Not properly removing your sunscreen (and makeup) at night can trap impurities, clog pores, and lead to breakouts.

Here’s what you should do 👇🏼

Step 1: Use an oil-based cleanser, like our Makeup Remover, all over the face to remove makeup and sunscreen. (Be gentle around the eyes).

Step 2: Use your daily cleanser (water-based), like our Foaming Face Washes or Pro-Age Cleansing Milk to further clean the skin and clear out pores.

Just adding a simple 10-15 second step to your routine will make a world of a difference!

The history of concealer is actually unhinged, and as a history nerd, I have to share it. 🎬

From lead paste in ancient Rome to arsenic wafers marketed as “safe,” to the woman who invented modern concealer out of water, zinc, and glycerin in her kitchen and then had to remove her makeup in a courtroom to prove it worked.

And then the industry filled that same product category with parabens, phthalates, and “fragrance” — one word that can mean hundreds of undisclosed chemicals.
