What a night! ⚾💙

Our 8th Annual Strike Out Cancer Night with the Hartford Yard Goats was a wonderful success, and we’re so proud to continue bringing our community together around a cause that means so much to us.

From celebrating those impacted by cancer to raising awareness about the importance of preventive screenings and early detection, the evening was a meaningful reminder of the power of community, education, and support.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Jefferson Radiology table, connected with our team, picked up resources, and helped make the night so special. And congratulations to the winner of our scenic Fall Foliage Train Ride on the Naugatuck Railroad! 🚂🍂

Early detection can make a meaningful difference.

Lung cancer may not cause noticeable symptoms in its early stages. For people at higher risk, low-dose CT screening can help find lung cancer earlier, when it may be more treatable. The exam is quick, painless and non-invasive, and is often covered by insurance for those who qualify.

Current and former heavy smokers may qualify for lung cancer screening. Other factors, including family history and exposure to radon or asbestos, may also affect your risk. Even if you do not meet standard screening criteria, you can still talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns.
