🚑👶 Advancing Care for Our Smallest Patients 👶🚑
Vance County Paramedics recently completed Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training, further enhancing our ability to provide high-quality emergency care to newborns during critical situations.

This specialized training equips our paramedics with the knowledge and skills needed to assess, stabilize, and care for newborn patients when every second matters. Continuing education and professional development remain a top priority as we strive to provide the best possible care to the residents and visitors of Vance County.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the team from Duke Life Flight for taking the time to come and provide this outstanding training. Their expertise, dedication to education, and commitment to improving patient outcomes are greatly appreciated.

🚑 Celebrating 31 Years of Service – Congratulations on Your Retirement, Mike Grissom! 🚑

Today, we recognize and celebrate Mike Grissom as he retires after an incredible 31 years of dedicated service in EMS.

For more than three decades, Mike has answered the call whenever his community needed him. Through long shifts, challenging calls, and countless moments of compassion and care, he has made a lasting impact on the lives of patients, families, coworkers, and the community he served.

Grissoms commitment, professionalism, and willingness to help others have been an example to all who have had the privilege of working alongside him. His experience and leadership have helped shape generations of EMS providers, and his contributions will not be forgotten.

While we will certainly miss seeing Grissom in uniform, we are excited for him as he begins this well-earned new chapter of life.

Vance County EMS and EM’s office personnel recently responded to Warren County to assist with specialized drone operations following an industrial explosion. Our team worked alongside multiple responding agencies to support situational awareness and ongoing operations.

His experience, professionalism, and passion for patient care make him a valuable addition to our EMS family.

As a Community Paramedic, Wesley will play an important role in connecting patients with resources, improving healthcare access, and helping provide proactive care throughout our community.
