This Saturday, September 19th, is a big night with the running of the Race United Catawba County United Way Championship Night presented by Avendi Rx but even more importantly it’s a huge night for the local food pantries your donations will help support.

Thanks to our wonderful friends at the Catawba County United Way, admission is free for a great night of racing and they simply ask that you bring canned of boxed(no glass items, please) food items to help support our community through the local food banks.

AvendiRx is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in healthcare/pharmacy billing and processing. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for processing claims, maintaining accurate patient records, supporting the billing cycle, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
10:30am - Close
(7:00pm is the pharmacy cut-off time, but all work has to be completed before leaving for the night)
Key Responsibilities:
• Adjudicate pharmacy claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Create and maintain patient profiles, ensuring all information is up to date
• Update payer and insurance statuses as needed
• Answer incoming calls and assist nursing staff, patients, and responsible parties with billing questions and concerns
• Prepare and complete daily bank deposits
• Review daily financial reports for accuracy and discrepancies
• Assist with monthly billing cycle, including generating and sending private pay statements
• Maintain compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in pharmacy billing and/or pharmacy tech, healthcare, or customer service preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Basic understanding of insurance and billing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn billing software systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
