☀️ Sunscreen Season is Here! ☀️

One of the most common questions we get from parents is: "Which sunscreen is best for my child?"

The answer: The best sunscreen is the one your child will actually wear! Whether you choose a mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) or a chemical sunscreen, the most important thing is consistent use and proper application. For squirmy kids, try out different types: lotion, cream, spray, mist, stick, and roll-on.

🧴 Sunscreen Guidelines for Kids:
✔️ Apply sunscreen 15–30 minutes before going outside.
✔️ Use enough—most children need more than parents think!
✔️ Don't forget easy-to-miss spots: ears, back of the neck, tops of the feet, and scalp (if hair is thin).
✔️ Reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming or sweating.
✔️ Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
✔️ For babies under 6 months, keep them in the shade and use protective clothing whenever possible.

👒 Remember: Sunscreen works best when paired with hats, sunglasses, shade, and sun-protective clothing.

Healthy sun habits started in childhood can help reduce the risk of sun damage and skin cancer later in life.

Summer schedules fill up fast!

Between vacations, camps, and family adventures, don’t forget to make time for your child’s annual physical. Schedule early to avoid emailing forms in from the car in August. (we've all been there)

Beat the back-to-school rush and schedule your child’s annual physical/well check appointment this summer.

Appointments book fast especially in Late July/August. Schedule now by calling 303-791-9999

🚨 WATER SAFETY TIP EVERY PARENT SHOULD KNOW 🚨

Not all swimsuits are created equal… especially underwater 👀

👙 The safest colors to wear in pools:
🔴 Bright Red (BEST)
🟡 Neon Yellow
🟢 Neon Green
🟠 Neon Orange

These colors stay visible—even when submerged—helping you spot a swimmer faster in an emergency.

❌ Colors to AVOID:
🔵 Blue (blends into water)
⚪ White (looks like glare)
⚫ Black & dark colors (look like shadows)
🎨 Busy patterns (break up visibility)

💡 Why it matters:
Visibility can drop 30–60% within just 18 inches underwater.

Choosing the right swimsuit color could save precious seconds… and lives.

✔️ Bright, solid neon colors = easier to see
✔️ Always supervise swimmers
✔️ Layer safety (fences, alarms, swim skills)

After 36 incredible years, it's hard to imagine this clinic without you. You've been more than an employee—you've been a steady presence, a trusted teammate, and someone who has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and coworkers.
Your dedication, kindness, and sense of humor have been part of what made this place feel like home. You've seen decades of changes, probably survived more policy updates than anyone can count, and somehow managed to keep us all smiling through it.
While we'll definitely miss seeing you around the clinic, we're excited that your biggest daily decision is about to become whether to sleep in, travel, or enjoy an ice cold RC.
Thank you for 36 years of loyalty, hard work, and the memories you've given us. Your legacy will always be a part of this clinic, and you will be deeply missed.
Congratulations on your retirement, Grace—you've more than earned it. Wishing you endless happiness, good health, and just enough boredom to remind you how wonderful retirement really is!
