I've spent a lot of time at kitchen tables across Massachusetts, listening.

Families worried about housing costs. Seniors on fixed incomes. Parents struggling with childcare. Working people stretched thin by healthcare, groceries, and everyday bills.

People aren't asking for miracles. They want a fair shot.

Special interests won't save us. We will.

That's why this campaign is powered by people, not corporations or personal wealth. And that's how we'll build a Massachusetts that works for all of us.

June arrives with a different rhythm.

Many of us are sitting in what I've been calling "The In Between" on June's podcast episode. Ya know that sacred, often uncomfortable space between what was and what is becoming. The door behind you has closed. The one ahead hasn't fully opened yet. It is where certainty dissolves, identities shift and the future stays quiet.

Our culture wants us to skip this part. We want quick answers. Immediate healing. Constant forward motion, but nature doesn't work that way. Seeds germinate in the dark before they ever break through. The caterpillar fully dissolves before the butterfly exists. Grief, transformation, healing... they all have their own timing. They don't negotiate with our calendars.

I've been witnessing this theme everywhere lately, AND I have been personally experiencing this myself.

In much of my recent Substack writing, I've been sitting with what happens when we lose the capacity to truly hold space for ourselves and for one another. And yet... some of the deepest healing I've ever witnessed has come not from forcing an outcome, but from learning to stay with what is still unfolding.

The invitation this month is not to rush.

Look around. Children are being legally trafficked. Domestic violence homicides have more than doubled in five years. The DOD just erased earth-based and Spiritualist traditions from federal recognition. The Equal Rights Amendment is still not law.

And most of the spiritual and wellness communities are posting sunsets and selling abundance courses while the world burns outside their window.

The Morrígan was never the monster. They made her one because she was ungovernable... because she represented the sovereignty of all people, not just those in power.

The Morrígan was feared not because she was evil but because she was free not able to be manipulated nor controlled. And right now, she is exactly what this moment is calling for. It is not love and light not the manifesting vibes.

It is a reckoning.

In my new Substack article I am naming what is happening, addressing hard truths, and making the case for why real practice... decolonized, embodied, on the land... is the only answer this moment will accept.

And yes... I am also talking about Ireland and three powerful women, because the land still remembers .

If something in you is tired of being spiritual in ways that change nothing ... this one is for you

Addressing Root Issues and Reclaiming Ancestral Power

For all my friends who practice faiths that do NOT fall under Judaism, Islam or Christianity, THIS HAPPENED.

This is the beginning on their attacks on religious freedoms and spiritual practices of indigenous communities.

This sets a dangerous precedent

DOD Officially Drops 180 Faiths From Military's Recognized Religion List

"This restructuring of faith codes, which help identity service members as well as the military in planning for appropriated religious coverage to include them, has now excluded minority faith/worldview groups including Atheists, Asatru, Deists, Druids, Eckankar, Heathens, Humanists, Magick, New Age churches, Pagan, Rosicrucianism, Shaman, Spiritualists, Troth, Unitarian Universalists and various Wiccans."

A 14 year old girl is a child. She is not a “young woman”. She is a CHILD.

And honestly, a lot of people feel strongly about this because language matters deeply in how society perceives vulnerability, responsibility, consent, and harm. Calling a 14-year-old a young woman in certain contexts can subtly shift public perception in ways that make a child seem older, more mature, more responsible, or more complicit than she actually is. Many people view that kind of wording as deeply dangerous when discussing exploitation, abuse, pregnancy, grooming, or sexual violence involving minors.

A lot of women also point out that girls are often adultified far earlier than boys socially. Young girls are frequently expected to act more mature, carry emotional responsibility earlier, protect themselves from adult behavior, or navigate inappropriate attention long before they are emotionally equipped to do so. That adultification can blur lines that should remain absolutely clear.

And honestly, adolescence is still childhood. A 14 year old is still developing emotionally, cognitively, socially, neurologically, and psychologically. They are navigating puberty, identity formation, peer pressure, school, family dynamics, and basic developmental growth not functioning with the life experience, emotional regulation, judgment, or power adults possess.

A lot of people also become frustrated because public conversations sometimes unconsciously shift scrutiny onto girls instead of the adults around them. The wording used can influence whether society instinctively sees someone as a vulnerable child needing protection or as a near adult expected to carry responsibility for situations they should never have been placed in.

And honestly, many survivors and advocates emphasize that precise language matters especially in cases involving sexual abuse, exploitation, trafficking, or statutory r**e. Referring to children as young women or underage women can unintentionally soften the reality that the situation involved a child. That distinction matters ethically, legally, and culturally.

A lot of women also remember how strange and vulnerable being 14 actually felt despite adults projecting maturity onto them physically or socially. Many girls were treated older than they truly were while still emotionally being very much children internally.

At the same time, teenagers can appear mature physically or intellectually in certain ways, which sometimes contributes to confusing social perceptions around adolescence. But physical development does not erase childhood or create adult level consent, emotional capacity, or responsibility.

But your broader point resonates because many people believe society needs to be far more intentional about protecting children, speaking about them accurately, and refusing language that minimizes vulnerability or subtly shifts accountability away from adults and systems responsible for keeping children safe.

This episode of "Triggers and Spiritual Medicine" featured Laura Bonetzky-Gaffney discussing the current collective transition and energy update for mid-year.

Laura Bonetzky-Gaffney addressed feelings of exhaustion, uncertainty, and nervous system fatigue many people are experiencing, describing a sense of being "suspended between old identities and emergence of new self."

She emphasized that the discomfort of transition often feels messy rather than mystical due to attempts to control outcomes and lack of community support systems.

Laura Bonetzky-Gaffney shared insights about the importance of discernment, slowing down, and sitting with uncertainty rather than rushing to find answers.

She outlined key themes for June and July, including endings, elder transitions, and the need for authentic community and genuine connection.

The episode concluded with practical tools for self-care and reflection questions to help listeners navigate the current transitional period.
