Do you have a toddler who is just starting to talk? 💜
You may be wondering if the words they’re saying “count” when they don’t sound exactly right yet.
Swipe through the slides to learn how word approximations are a normal part of language development! 🗣️
Many children simplify words as they learn to communicate. What matters is that they are using those sounds consistently and intentionally to express meaning.
Remember, every child develops at their own pace, and speech doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
However, if you feel your child is struggling to communicate, has very few words, or seems significantly behind their peers, don’t hesitate to seek guidance from a speech-language pathologist.
✨ Early support can make a world of difference!
