THE QUEST OF RAZZLE DAZZLE: DRAGON HUNTER

This morning, Razzle Dazzle, Mistress of the Dragon Hunt, set forth on a noble quest to join the Parchment & Potions Prattville Dragon Hunt!

Her mission: Find the dragons. Earn glory. Protect the realm.

She searched every flower pot, inspected the canoe, investigated the landscaping, searched high AND low in the trees.

She sniffed. She scouted. She sleuthed.

Alas, the dragons remained elusive.
But fear not! Our intrepid adventurer did earn some valuable experience points along the way, practicing up, off, paws up, go there, and the ever-important leave it.
So while she may not have completed the quest, Razzle is not ending her hunt.
She has vowed to return Sunday morning with her trusty Bloodhound bestie, Gimli, who just might have the tracking stats needed to sniff out the dragons.

Until then, may your treats be plentiful, your sits be solid, and your dragons be findable.

Quest status: ACTIVE.

Kenny is back at work, putting in hours at Tallapoosa schools, so naturally, he felt entitled to a little employee appreciation.

Even service dogs deserve a pup cup after a hard day’s work.

Razzle Dazzle is getting her reps in!

That five-pound weight may look like a pretty ordinary workout, but for a future service dog, being comfortable carrying objects is an important skill.

Service dogs may be asked to retrieve and carry everything from a dropped item to a bag, bottle, or other everyday object. Teaching Razzle to happily pick up and carry different weights and textures helps build confidence, strength, and reliability for the job ahead.

And judging by that tail… she thinks this is a pretty great game.

Strong body. Confident dog. Happy worker.

Blazer Paws showed up in force!

Sunday was all about ConnectFest at UAB, giving students a chance to explore the clubs, organizations, and opportunities waiting for them on campus. And Service Dogs Alabama was there with a little extra Magic and Razzle Dazzle!

Razzle, Magic, and even Klaus came out to represent SDA, and they had some four-legged company. Tucker, a service dog belonging to one of the Blazer Paws members, joined the crew too!

There was a fantastic turnout, lots of interest in Blazer Paws and Service Dogs Alabama, and plenty of great conversations. It was also an excellent real-world experience for our dogs, navigating crowds, noise, new people, and all the excitement of campus life.

And now the semester is officially underway! Magic is staying on campus for the semester, so there will be plenty more opportunities for him to bring his own special brand of Magic to the UAB community.

Looks like Blazer Paws has some serious sparkle this semester!

Razzle Dazzle at Prattville Primary!

Razzle Dazzle spent Friday morning at Prattville Primary School meeting faculty and some very lucky students, giving everyone a little taste of what a Facility Dog can bring to a school.

The warm welcome and excitement were contagious, and we’re pretty sure Razzle left with a few new fans… and a standing invitation to come back!

Thank you, Prattville Primary, for making Razzle feel so welcome. We can’t wait for the next visit!
