We recently held our first Safe Sitter, Inc. and Safe @ Home classes as part of our grant from the Hendricks County Health Partnership! We were thrilled to partner with the Plainfield Youth Assistance Program and loved getting to know these teens and tweens. 🥰

What a positive outcome! 🚭

The results are in: 12.6 million FEWER packs of ci******es were sold in Indiana in the second half of 2025 following our work to increase the to***co tax. In addition, e-cigarette sales dropped an estimated 8.3%. This means fewer youth becoming addicted to ni****ne and better health for all.

Did you hear about 'No Menthol Sunday' that happened on on May 17th? The more awareness that is spread about to***co products, the healthier our communities will be!

MENTHOL FACTS:
📌Menthol’s minty flavor makes it easier to start smoking and
harder to quit.
▪️Most Black people who smoke use menthols (85%).
▪️Most kids who start smoking try menthols first.
▪️Smoking is still the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S.
📌In December 2023, the White House delayed finalizing the removal of
menthol from to***co products. However,
▪️Removing menthol from ci******es would help reduce addiction and youth experimentation.
▪️Removing menthol will help smokers quit and improve quit attempts.
▪️Delaying the removal of menthol in ci******es upholds systemic racism, period.
▪️The to***co industry and its paid spokespersons have stated that removing menthol
ci******es would make Black communities targets of increased over-policing; this is a lie.
▪️The FDA’s menthol ban would prohibit people from manufacturing, distributing, and selling menthols, NOT possessing them.
