Let’s just say I’m looking forward to oversized sweats season!

This is a vulnerable post for me! It is hard for me to see myself looking different than I did a year ago. I don’t even care about the extra fluff it’s more about the lack of muscle in upper body. For a second I thought about getting rid of this fat gain and I was like NOPE girl you said you want your muscle back and how do you think that’s gonna happen??? NOT IN A DEFICIT. I know better. I know what I need to do to get to where I want to be. Now is not a time to restrict calories.

Make sure your actions align with your goal. Because majority of people aren’t building muscle without enough calories.

It’s fall “challenge” season 🫠. Please understand you are not going to have a major body transformation in a matter of 6-12 weeks. If you have been building muscle for years and have a small amount of body fat to lose, yes you could look ripped losing 10lbs. But if just starting your fitness journey you aren’t going to be lean and jacked with muscle at the end of 6-12 weeks. If something like this helps hold you accountable and helps get you started on your journey then awesome!! Just be aware the results come from doing the long consistent sustainable work for YEARS and never ever stopping.

Hope that helps!!

One is not better than another! They all have a place in a well rounded program. But, you also can make great progress and have a great physique even if limited to one option.

This is why I belong to a gym because it gives me all the options. You want training to be enjoyable and something you can sustain doing for years!! Having a mix of different options has always kept me engaged and excited about training. It never gets old!!

Hope this was helpful!

No need to wait to get started on your body composition goals. A lot of progress can be made before end of year, more importantly if you start now, you could be back in maintenance for the holidays where calories are more plentiful and have more food freedom.

I don’t know about you, but after I leave a fat loss stage, I want to maintain my progress, so I wouldn’t be going off the rails during the holidays. I naturally forced you to be more mindful and WANT to stay in maintenance during a time that can be very easy for many to overeat and even gain a decent amount of fat in a short amount of time.

There is no need to say I’ll wait till 2027. Imagine the progress you could make, and the amount of fat you won’t gain because you decided to start now!

Differences in horizontal and 45° leg press! I typically use the 45° leg press, but since I’ve been rehabbing my shoulder the horizontal has been a great alternative when I couldn’t handle large 45lb plates.

Both are great alternatives to squat pattern exercises when you want to really target the glutes or quads and remove that stability/core strength required to do a traditional squat.

Hope that helps!

Comment HAIR if want links to what I use.

This technique really makes a difference is a longer last curl from top to bottom instead of just the bottom curled. I think it also looks a little more “beachy”.
