Jonathan Hontzas, ACT Center Director and Director of the Lung Screening Program, was interviewed by WJTV today to raise awareness about the importance of lung cancer screening in Mississippi.

Through the Mississippi Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, eligible adults can receive a no-cost, low-dose CT scan, with assistance available for transportation and financial barriers.

Early detection saves lives, and expanding access to screening can make a meaningful difference across Mississippi.💙

Sharon Terry, LPC, represented ACT Center at the See, Test and Treat event on Saturday, April 11th at at the UMMC Pavilion.

This important initiative brought together volunteers from UMMC, CCRI, and health advocacy groups across Mississippi to provide free cancer screenings for underinsured and uninsured individuals. Early detection saves lives—and so does prevention.
