Pharmacists hear it all.

The prescription questions. The insurance headaches. The “can I take these together?” conversations. Even the frustration of a medication bottle that just won’t open.

They’re often the people who see firsthand how medication fits into real life, including the small barriers that can make managing it more difficult.

That perspective matters to us at SnapSlide. Better medication access starts with understanding what people actually experience at the pharmacy counter and at home.

Five seconds. One everyday task. How much work should it take?

Opening a traditional pill bottle can involve more effort than we realize, especially when grip strength or dexterity is limited.

SnapSlide takes a different approach, replacing the traditional push-and-twist motion with a simple press then slide.

Sometimes better design starts by asking why we're still doing something the hard way.

Medication instructions are pretty specific.

Take one tablet. Take with food. Store at room temperature.

But there’s one instruction nobody writes on the label:

*First, get the bottle open.*

For many people, that isn’t a small step. Clear directions matter, but the packaging has to work, too.

Good medication access shouldn’t stop at the label.

Push down. Grip. Twist. Try again.

It simply doesn't have to be this hard.

Traditional pill bottles have been around for so long that it’s easy to accept the way they work without thinking much about it. But those bottles prove that a familiar design isn’t necessarily a design that works well for everyone.

For someone with limited grip strength, reduced dexterity, a limb difference, use of one hand, or hundreds of other conditions, those extra steps can turn a routine moment into a frustrating one.

SnapSlide started with a simple idea: medication access doesn’t need to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s worth questioning the things we’ve simply gotten used to.
