Who knew a painted rock could change a life?

Today I watched my little entrepreneur learn that one act of creativity, courage, and kindness can make an impact, one painted rock, one connection, one life at a time. ❤️

What started as a simple idea became something much bigger. He stepped outside his comfort zone, shared his creativity with others, and discovered that even the smallest acts can bring smiles, spark conversations, and make a difference.

“When I came to her, I was a broken woman. A shell of myself.”

Those words stopped me in my tracks because this is exactly why I left traditional medicine to build Eden.

This patient came to me in September 2025, deep in the trenches of perimenopause. Daily pain. Exhaustion. Feeling invisible in her own body.

She didn’t need to be rushed through a 10-minute appointment.
She needed to be heard.

Memorial Day reminds us to pause and honor those who served, sacrificed, and gave so much for others. It also reminds me of something I see every day in medicine: so many women spend years doing the same for everyone around them, caring, showing up, giving endlessly.

To the women in midlife who have spent years putting family, work, and others first: your health matters too. Caring for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s honoring the body that has carried you through every season of life.

Today we remember, we honor, and we also make space to care for ourselves.

Midlife can bring changes that feel frustrating and confusing. Fatigue, brain fog, disrupted sleep, mood shifts, and weight changes are often brushed off as “just getting older,” but your body is always communicating with you.

Symptoms are not something to ignore or simply push through. They can be signals that your hormones, metabolism, and overall health may need attention. You deserve to feel heard, supported, and well through every stage of life.

For decades, women with PCOS have been treated through a narrow lens that focused almost entirely on ovarian cysts. But the newest global consensus, published in The Lancet, confirms what many of us in women’s health have seen for years:

This condition is not just ovarian. It’s hormonal, metabolic, and systemic.

That’s why the name has officially changed from PCOS to PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

This shift matters.

A new name won’t solve everything but it finally aligns the diagnosis with the true biology of the condition. And that means better understanding, better research, and better care for the millions of women navigating it.
