Supporting Shirley's Journey Home

Rehabilitation plays a vital role in helping residents regain strength, independence, and confidence after life-changing events. After a fall, Shirley came to us with significant weakness and on an NPO diet, facing a challenging road to recovery.

With the support of our dedicated therapy, clinical teams, and her own determination, Shirley made remarkable progress. She regained her independence using a 2WW and advanced her diet to puree/nectar thick.

After four months in the hospital and rehab, Shirley was able to safely return home. We are so proud of her progress and honored to have been part of her recovery journey!

At Waters Edge, we believe learning should be meaningful, memorable, and something our teams look forward to!

Waters Edge Health & Rehabilitation Center recently hosted an unforgettable Skills Fair, bringing clinical education to life through an engaging, hands-on experience inspired by The Hunger Games.

Put together by our incredible leaders, Noelle and Ebony, this year’s Skills Fair was designed to go beyond traditional checklists and create an interactive environment where team members could sharpen clinical skills, tackle fun challenges, connect with amazing community partners, and celebrate teamwork through friendly competition.

Clinical education is about more than completing a requirement. It’s about building confidence, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring our team is always prepared to provide the highest quality care for the residents we proudly serve.

A huge thank you to our incredible team, vendors, and community partners who helped make this event such a success.

Summer in the Midwest can bring soaring temperatures, and when wildfire smoke kept us indoors, our residents found a creative way to enjoy the fun of the season!😎🖌️

We brought the outdoors inside with a water gun painting activity, and everyone had a blast creating colorful, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. It's amazing how a little creativity can brighten even the smokiest summer day!
