Story of compassion through fancy cheese.
Yesterday as I was driving through an old neighborhood, the memories started making me cry.
The tears started a conversation with God.
Me: I see where I can be offering more compassion to this person.
God: Don't you enjoy when people are compassionate with you?
Me: I am so grateful for the amount of compassionate people in my life.
God: 👀
Me: I don't have to condone their actions, but I can feel compassion for where they are hurting.
Fast forward 20 minutes to the grocery store. I've paid for my groceries and I'm walking away. I notice my favorite cheese hiding underneath the watermelon.
I double back to the cashier and tell her that I didn't pay for it and I'm going to leave it wth her.
Next customer in line: Ma'am (cashier), scan this please, hands me the cheese and says something sweet.
I don't remember what he said because I just stood there for a second with my mouth open.
I think the point is to ask where can you expand today. Where can you move into an elated space that will help you grow. It's not always super comfortable. But once you do, your whole world will shift with it. Little by little 💕
