Confidence built on results will always fluctuate with results.

Lasting confidence comes from something deeper: knowing who you are, understanding how you perform at your best, and trusting your ability to respond when things get difficult.

That’s what your Performance Identity gives you.

And because every golfer is wired differently, the right mental process has to be personal.

Comment “MGT” and we’ll send you the link to discover your Mental Golf Type.

What happens when the possibility of winning becomes overwhelming?

In this preview from the first-ever episode of MGT’s Wired To Win podcast, Women’s English Amateur Champion Ellise Rymer shares her advice:

Come back to the present. Feel the grass beneath your feet, notice your surroundings and enjoy the moment.

Whatever happens, tomorrow you’ll still be the same person.

Our first episode launches soon. Follow us so you don’t miss it. 🎙️🏆

You don’t need to find more time to train your mind.

You may not have an extra 10 minutes every day for breathwork or meditation.

So instead of adding another task to your schedule, integrate it directly into the practice routine you already have.

This is essentially habit stacking: attaching a new habit to something you already do consistently.

Take one intentional breath between shots.
Use a longer exhale as you prepare.
Hit each putt at the end of that exhale.

By combining breathwork with your practice, you’re not only training your technique. You’re also learning to:

• Become more aware of your internal state
• Recognize tension before it takes over
• Process stress more effectively
• Regulate your nervous system between shots
• Create a calmer, more consistent rhythm
• Improve your ability to stay present
• Make breathing feel more natural under pressure

Most importantly, you’re making your breath available when you actually need it.

Because the goal isn’t just to breathe well while sitting quietly at home.

It’s to be able to use your breath on the course, under pressure, with a scorecard in your hand.

Try turning your next practice session into a meditation:

Breathe in for three seconds.
Exhale softly for six.
Hit at the end of the exhale.

You might be surprised by how different your practice feels.

What if your swing isn’t changing… but your state is?

Most golfers assume every bad shot means something is wrong technically.

So they start changing their grip.
Changing their backswing.
Changing their takeaway.

When the real problem is often much simpler.

Pressure changes your body.

It speeds up your tempo.
Pulls your attention toward danger.
Makes you rush.
Makes you doubt.

The swing you practiced on the range is still there.

You just need to get back into the state where it can show up.

That’s exactly why we created Inner Steel™—to help golfers build confidence under pressure, recover faster after mistakes, and trust their game when it matters most.

Most golfers don’t lose the round when they make a mistake.

They lose it the moment they start protecting what they’ve built.

You’re playing well.
You’re in rhythm.
You’re seeing shots.
You’re trusting yourself.

Then you realize:

“Wait… I’m actually going low.”

And suddenly everything changes.

The score becomes something to protect.
The target starts to feel smaller.
The swing gets tighter.
The mind jumps ahead.
The body starts scanning for danger.

That’s the shift from flow to fight-or-flight.

And the way back isn’t just to “stay positive” or “trust it.”

First, you need to calm your nervous system.
Reset your body language.
Breathe.
Create safety again.

Then the reset becomes personal.

Some players need a clear target.
Some need a feel.
Some need structure.
Some need freedom.
Some need to reconnect emotionally.
Some need to simplify everything.

Because pressure is universal.

But the way back to flow is personal.

That’s what Mental Fitting helps you understand.

Success at every level 🏆

Huge congratulations to Cameron Hill for winning the 2026 Ohio U.S. Kids State Invitational with an incredible 9-under total — rounds of 69–66.

But what makes this even more special is what was happening behind the score.

Cameron has been working with John Weir and Mental Golf Type, using MGT notes directly in his yardage book to help him think, react, and compete in a way that fits who he is.

As his dad Chris shared:

“We started this winter, and the biggest growth in their game hasn’t come from clubs or the gym — it’s come from how they think on the course.”

That’s exactly what Mental Golf Type is built for.

Helping players understand how they’re wired, so they can compete with more clarity, confidence, and trust under pressure.

For Cameron, that meant going out and shooting 66 in the final round to win.

An incredible performance — and another reminder that when players understand themselves better, they give themselves a better chance to perform when it matters.

Congrats Cameron 👏

Massive congratulations to Austen Truslow on qualifying for The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale in 2026.

Austen has been one of the very first players to work with MGT, and this moment is a powerful reflection of the discipline, structure, and trust he’s brought to the process from day one.

No shortcuts. No noise. Just preparation, ex*****on, and trust in the process.

A well-earned spot in golf’s original Championship, on one of the biggest stages in the game.

Proud of you, Austen. 👏🏆

Bad rounds don’t destroy confidence.
Bad conclusions do.

Perspective is what helps you turn poor performances into feedback, instead of proof that something is wrong.

Every round gives you one of two things:
Validation or education.

The better you get at using that feedback, the faster you grow.

Most parents want to help.

But sometimes, the way we try to help creates more pressure.

Junior golf is already emotionally demanding. Players are dealing with nerves, expectations, mistakes, comparisons, and disappointment while still learning how to manage their emotions.

That’s why understanding your junior golfer’s personality type can make such a difference.

It helps you know how they think, what motivates them, what stresses them, and what kind of support actually helps them grow.

Because the goal isn’t just to create better golfers.

It’s to help young players become healthier, more self aware, more resilient humans who still love the game years from now.
