Lisa and I met back in 2020 when I first started working as a massage therapist here, and we hit it off instantly. Fast forward almost seven years later: we finish each other’s sentences (when Lisa allows it 😉—IYKYK), consult on complex treatment plans, share life's high and low moments, and bring effortless harmony to every couples massage we do together.

✨ Let’s recap my float session from yesterday… ✨

I 100% recommend this experience!

I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous going in. I wasn’t sure if I would feel anxious, uncomfortable, or have a hard time completely letting go. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

The moment I stepped into the tank, I felt nothing but excitement and curiosity about the experience. Within minutes, I was able to slip into a deeply self-meditative state. My mind felt completely present and focused, and the thoughts, ideas, and creativity that came through were insanely vibrant.

I honestly walked out of that tank in complete awe. ✨

I felt relaxed on a level that is almost impossible to explain; physically, mentally, and emotionally. It was more than just relaxation; it felt like I had given myself permission to completely disconnect from everything around me and reconnect with myself.

Without hesitation, I can say this was by far one of the most incredible self-care experiences I’ve ever had.

If you’ve ever been curious about floating, but thought you might feel anxious or uncomfortable, I highly recommend giving it a try. Go in with an open mind and let the experience happen.

Small business owners wear a lot of hats, and I am so grateful to share those responsibilities with the person I love most. 🌀

I wanted to share this photo from a few months ago—taken while shooting massage content with my husband as my client—mostly because of my goofy smile. I am constantly in awe of how beautiful our partnership is, both in marriage and in business. Even under pressure, we almost always find a way to share a laugh (well, most of the time 🤣).

It is hard to believe we’ve owned Zephyr Float for 2.5 years already, but what is even more amazing is how much work the two of us have accomplished in that time.

Rick has been my biggest support. As the front-facing owner of Zephyr, I am on site most days giving massages, handling paperwork (the boring stuff!), connecting with clients, and supporting our front desk team. But what you don't see is that Rick is truly the foundation that keeps this place running.

He has jumped out of bed at all hours to fix tank heaters, replace filter pumps, completely redo our tank plumbing, change out fans and lights, repair the water heater, and so much more. I would be completely lost without him—in business and in life.

💙 So here is a shoutout to the most amazing person I know, who definitely deserves a real massage and not just a few minutes on the table for a social media post!

🌀Looking to book an appointment at Zephyr?

One of our most common questions is, "How far in advance should I book?"

While we can occasionally fit you in last minute, we recommend scheduling at least two weeks in advance to secure your preferred day, time, and services.

We love our intimate space, but it does mean our availability is limited! If you've been putting off that massage and float combo, don't wait—give us a call or check our online schedule today to lock in your spot.

(Need to change your plans? We totally understand life happens—just give us at least 24 hours' notice so someone else can grab that spot and to avoid any cancellation fees!) 🌀

🌀 We love our Z Club members and always want to celebrate them! 💙

Kathi has been a part of our membership program for 4 years. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her for over half of that time, and she brightens my day every time she steps foot into the spa. She is truly one of the most genuine, intelligent, and kick-ass women I’ve ever met.

I often talk about how grateful I am to offer a space of healing for stress relief, muscle tension, and overall well-being—but I also have to share how often our regular clients heal me right back. Kathi is definitely one of those people.

🌀It's our "What Am I Supposed To Do Again?" checklist!

Upon arrival, one of our float facilitators will give you a full tour and orientation to prepare you for your first float (or if you have been here before and need a refresher). We are pretty thorough when we go over instructions, but if you miss something you can find this guide in each of our 2 tank rooms.

We always send our guests a welcome email as well. We do our best to prepare you for your first time, this way you can just float and let go.

💙🌀Walked into work today to find this beautiful, handmade note from two of our wonderful regulars, Gabor and Anna. Having known them for a couple of years now, their thoughtfulness completely blew me away.

I am so incredibly grateful to have guests who show such a deep appreciation for what we do here. Thank you both so much—this one is definitely getting a frame!

🌀☀️ Woof! The Hudson Valley has been hit hard by this heatwave! I woke up super early today to knock out my cooking, my workout, and daily chores before heading into the spa. How is everyone holding up out there?

Our booking schedule is a little slower today, so I’m taking full advantage and jumping into a float tank. My biggest goals for this summer are learning how to slow down and rest. Shut down my brain, even if it is for just a moment. If you know me, you know it isn't an easy task for this very active woman!

I usually do my best meditating through movement, but I’m challenging myself to find center in the stillness. Lucky for me, I own a float spa! My goal is to float at least twice a month, and I've successfully stuck to it so far (even if I only started last month 😉)

Just like anything else, our nervous systems need training days, too. 🧠💙What are you doing to stay cool and rest today?
