Kitty L. Trahan, BSN, RN, MHA, COO & 340B Specialist

At Health Mart Specialty Pharmacy, Kitty plays an integral role in connecting our pharmacy with physicians, healthcare organizations, and the patients they serve.
With credentials as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Master of Health Administration (MHA), Kitty combines a clinical understanding of patient care with healthcare administration and operational experience. As our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and 340B Specialist, she is a mainstay of Health Mart Specialty Pharmacy's commitment to providing physicians and their staff with knowledgeable, hands-on support.

For physician offices and eligible healthcare organizations interested in exploring a 340B and specialty pharmacy partnership, Kitty serves as a key point of contact. She can help guide organizations through the partnership process, coordinate with our pharmacy team, and help develop a program focused on improving medication access and supporting patients who require specialty therapies.

Many prescription medications—especially specialty medications—may qualify for manufacturer copay assistance, savings cards, or voucher programs that can significantly reduce, and in some cases eliminate, a patient's out-of-pocket cost.

For more than 30 years, my professional life has been centered around one goal: helping people receive better, more accessible healthcare.

I graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe School of Pharmacy in 1994 and have spent my career building, owning, and operating healthcare businesses throughout Louisiana.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving as Owner and CEO of multiple Health Mart pharmacies, with locations in Gueydan, Kaplan, Lake Arthur, Breaux Bridge, Denham Springs, Jennings, and Lafayette.

My healthcare experience has extended beyond traditional retail pharmacy and has included:

Health Mart LTC — providing long-term care pharmacy services for nursing home residents and LTAC facilities.

Health Mart Specialty Pharmacy — specializing in complex and chronic disease states, including HIV and cancer.

Health Mart Medical — providing home medical equipment, home IV infusion, and respiratory therapy services.

Today, I am proud to be the Owner of Health Mart Specialty Pharmacy in Lafayette, Louisiana, where we work closely with physicians, nurses, clinics, and their patients to make specialty pharmacy care as simple and efficient as possible.
