That is often why a prescriber orders a compounded preparation: the patient cannot tolerate the oral form, the needed strength is not commercially manufactured, the medication is intended for one area rather than taken systemically, or several ingredients belong in a single base.

Backpacks are out. So is whatever is going around the classroom. 🎒

When the first prescription of the school year comes home and your child
refuses it, ask us about flavoring. Bubblegum, grape, watermelon, cherry.

Flavoring does not change how a medication works. It changes whether it
gets taken, which is the part that matters.

tongue, patches, gummies, and other age appropriate forms.
