What would your infant feeding goal look like if you knew you couldn’t fail?

That’s the mindset we want you to go into your feeding journey with.

Especially if you’re pregnant and feeling nervous about latching, pain, milk supply, or all the unknowns that come with feeding a new baby.

What if you knew that even if you faced challenges, you’d still have more than one path to reaching your goal?

The truth is, most feeding journeys don’t go exactly as planned. That doesn’t mean you have to change your feeding goal. It just means you might need more support getting there.

When you understand the basics of latching and milk production, you’re able to adapt instead of panic. And when you have a lactation consultant in your corner, you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

Sometimes the path changes. The goal doesn’t have to.

If you’re expecting and want to start your feeding journey feeling prepared instead of overwhelmed, join us for our **Better Than Basics Breastfeeding Class** on **Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 PM**. You’ll leave with practical, evidence-based tools to help you navigate the bumps in the road and keep moving toward your feeding goals with confidence.

Progress in infant feeding isn't always linear.

There are so many pieces that can contribute to feeding challenges—body tension, oral motor skills, GI discomfort, breathing patterns, sensory differences, and more. Because of that, feeding support is often about untangling a complex puzzle rather than finding a single quick fix.

It can feel discouraging to walk into an appointment hoping for answers, only to realize there isn't just one thing standing in the way. The reality is that meaningful progress often requires a team approach, with each provider helping address a different piece of the picture.

Sometimes we can't make the progress we want with oral motor skills because body tension is still getting in the way. Sometimes GI discomfort has to improve before feeding feels easier. Sometimes we need to take a step sideways before we can take a step forward.

That doesn't mean progress isn't happening. It simply means we're working through the layers bit by bit.

The good news: there's no time limit on progress! Try to let go of the fear that if you don't get baby latching by X weeks old, that there's no hope for improvement. (easier said than done, I know!), but progress is right around the corner.

Mother’s Day can hold so many emotions.
For some, it’s filled with baby snuggles, sticky fingers, and hearing “mom” called across the house.
For others, it’s filled with waiting, hoping, praying, and holding space for the child they long for.
Today, we honor both.
To the mothers raising babies in their arms, and to the women carrying babies in their hearts while they wait—you are both worthy of celebration.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

If parenting feels overwhelming right now, you are not alone.

The early weeks and months can feel like a constant cycle of questions, second-guessing, and trying to meet everyone’s needs while ignoring your own. And honestly, it’s a lot to carry by yourself.

Whether you’re struggling with latch pain, bottle refusal, pumping, milk supply concerns, or simply wondering if things are going “normally,” support can make all the difference.

One day at a time is enough.
One feeding at a time is enough.
Support can change everything.

If you’re ready for calm, collaborative support tailored to your family, schedule your appointment with GROW today. 🤍

The Grow Team: Childhood Edition 🤍

These photos are a reminder that the people answering your questions, supporting you through feeding struggles, and cheering you on through newborn life were once tiny humans too.

Now we get to be part of your family’s story, and we’re really grateful for that ✨

The newborn world has a language of its own…
and somehow everyone expects you to just know it overnight.

Cluster feeding.
Flanges.
Wake windows.
Weighted feeds.
Triple feeding.
Lip ties.
Milk transfer.

It can feel like everyone else got a handbook you somehow missed.

That’s exactly why this class exists.

To help you understand feeding before you’re sleep deprived, overwhelmed, and trying to Google everything at 2AM.

Evidence-based. Practical. Actually helpful.

Getting a good latch doesn’t have to feel like guesswork 🤍
These are 4 of the most common adjustments we make at our very first visit—simple, foundational, and often game-changing:
• Bring baby belly to belly with you, arms wrapped around the breast (not tucked in the middle)
• Lean back slightly so gravity helps keep baby close
• Keep baby’s chin lifted with their nose free from the breast
• Let baby’s chin touch first to cue a wide open mouth, then bring them in close
These basics matter—but they’re not the whole picture. If latching still feels painful, shallow, or just hard, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

In honor of the Kentucky Derby, a completely unbiased and not at all controversial ranking of breast pumps 🏇

Compiled from a mix of personal experience, client feedback, and things I’ve seen go down in consult rooms.

This is based on vibes, patterns, and how often a pump has humbled someone at 2am.

There are so many “booby traps” in breastfeeding, things people tell you with the best intentions that can actually make feeding harder.

In this episode, Amsy & Stephanie break down some of the biggest mistakes they see when it comes to breastfeeding, pumping, milk supply, and postpartum recovery, from using the wrong fl**ge size to outdated clogged duct advice, tongue tie confusion, supply dips around your period, high lipase milk, and more.

We’re talking about:
✨ Why fl**ge fit matters more than you think
✨ The truth about “nipple confusion”
✨ Emergency tongue tie releases
✨ Why aggressive massage for clogged ducts is outdated
✨ When pumping after birth actually makes sense
✨ Breastfeeding + birth control myths
✨ And the things we wish more families knew sooner

Because sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t breastfeeding itself, it’s all the bad advice around it.
