❤️ International Day of Charity ❤️
Today, we are proud to celebrate the incredible spirit of giving within our Solstice community! Our residents, families, and team members are coming together to fill our donation barrel with nonperishable food items for Casa de Peregrinos’ Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Every donation—large or small—will help provide food and hope to individuals and families in need this Thanksgiving. At Solstice, we believe caring for others extends far beyond the walls of our community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone helping us make a meaningful difference.
Together, we can fill this barrel and share the warmth, kindness, and generosity of the holiday season! 🧡🥫🍂

🎶 Volunteer Spotlight: Gene Gomez 🎶
We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful volunteer, Gene Gomez! Gene has been generously sharing his musical talents with the residents of Solstice Senior Living for quite some time. He visits us a couple of times each month, and we always look forward to listening to his beautiful music.
His performances bring so much happiness, comfort, and enjoyment to our community. Thank you, Gene, for your continued kindness, dedication, and the joy you bring to our residents. We truly appreciate everything you do for Solstice! 💙

Yesterday’s Dolly Parton Social Hour was an incredible success! 💕🎶
So many of our residents joined the fun by wearing pink as we celebrated the one and only Dolly Parton. Whenever the dance floor slowed down, we offered to change the music—but our residents made it clear: “No, we love Dolly!” So, Dolly played the entire afternoon, and everyone had the best time singing, dancing, laughing and enjoying one another’s company.
Hearing our residents thank us for such a wonderful party meant so much. Creating special moments like these is at the heart of what we do because our residents mean the world to us. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this celebration so memorable!

Yesterday’s Dolly Parton Social Hour was an incredible success! 💕🎶
So many of our residents joined the fun by wearing pink as we celebrated the one and only Dolly Parton. 🔠 Scrabble Time at Solstice! 🔠
Just like our Garden Club, we also have a wonderful Scrabble Club—and let me tell you, these ladies take their games very seriously! Every Tuesday, they settle in for not one, but two games back-to-back.
The competition is friendly, but the focus is real—so you definitely don’t want to disturb these ladies during Scrabble time! 😂 We love seeing our residents enjoy activities that challenge their minds, bring them together, and create plenty of fun and laughter.

🎉 BINGO! 🎉
Whether it’s Dime Bingo or Prize Bingo, this classic game is always one of our residents’ favorite activities! That’s why we make sure to offer Bingo three times each week.
There’s nothing better than hearing the laughter, friendly competition, and excitement as everyone waits for that winning number. At Solstice, it’s all about keeping our residents happy, engaged, and having a wonderful time together! ❤️

We had a colorful and creative time with splatter painting at Solstice Senior Living! 🎨💦 Everyone had so much fun experimenting with the colors and creating their own unique masterpieces.
I always try to choose crafts that are fun, simple, and accessible for everyone. Because some of our residents experience vision difficulties, I never want an activity to feel stressful or frustrating. Art should be about relaxing, enjoying time together, and feeling proud of something you created—and that is exactly what today was all about! 💙

🇧🇷 Throughout August, we celebrated the vibrant country of Brazil! Our residents had so much fun learning about its fascinating culture, lively music, traditions, and delicious food.
One of the many wonderful things about our Solstice community is that we explore different countries and cultures from around the world. We understand that traveling may not always be easy for our residents, so we bring the excitement and adventure of traveling directly to them! 🌎✈️
In September, our journey continues as we travel to Japan! 🇯🇵 We are so excited to discover Japan’s unique culture, music, traditions, and cuisine together. There is always another adventure waiting for us at Solstice!
