Spa day at Dream a Dream! 🛁🐴💗

Trinity and Suzie got a little extra pampering today as we get ready to welcome our riders back and begin sessions again this week! There’s nothing quite like a good bath, a little grooming, and lots of TLC to get our girls looking — and feeling — their very best. ✨💗

We are especially grateful to Dr. Piper Norton for the wonderful care she has given our sweet Suzie. After some time away from work, Suzie is feeling good and ready to gradually return to some light work with her riders. Seeing her feeling like herself again — and knowing she’ll soon be back doing what she does so beautifully — makes our hearts incredibly happy. 🥹🐴💗

Caring for our horses always comes first. They give so much to our riders, our families, and all of us at Dream a Dream, and it is our privilege to make sure they receive that same love and care in return.

Thank you, Dr. Norton, for helping us take such wonderful care of our girl. We are so thankful. 💗

Sometimes you just need a REALLY good roll! 😂🐴💗

Hank was thoroughly enjoying himself in the round pen today — rolling, wiggling, scratching, and making sure he got every single spot! 😂 There’s just something about watching a horse feel safe, happy, and completely content that makes your heart smile. 🥰

And apparently, once you’re finished with your spa treatment, you get up, shake off the dust, and come straight over to the gate to say hi. 😂💗🐴 Of course he did!

It’s the simple moments like these that we love so much at Dream a Dream. Happy horses, dusty backs, and a whole lot of joy. 💗

Keep on rolling, Hank! You’ve definitely got this relaxation thing figured out. 😂

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us just how incredibly blessed Dream a Dream truly is. 🩷🐴

We gathered for our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch — a day dedicated to celebrating some of the amazing people who give their time, their energy, their talents, and most of all, their hearts to Dream a Dream.

There is simply no Dream a Dream without our volunteers.

They are the hands that help care for our herd, the encouraging voices beside our riders, the extra set of eyes and hands when things get busy, the people who show up when something needs to be done, and the hearts that love this little place and its mission right alongside us. Some have been with us for years, some are newer to our Dream a Dream family, but every single one leaves their own special hoofprint here. 🐴🩷

Yesterday was our opportunity to stop for just a little while and celebrate THEM. To sit together, laugh, visit, share a meal, and simply enjoy being together without a lesson to prepare for, a horse to tack, a stall to clean, or another item on the never-ending farm to-do list! 😂🐴

And this beautiful afternoon would not have happened without two very special ladies — Tami and Ashleigh. 🩷

These two took care of EVERYTHING. The food, drinks, decorations, setup, all the thoughtful little details — right down to Ashleigh’s absolutely adorable keychains for everyone. They poured so much love into making the day special, and it showed everywhere you looked.

Tami and Ashleigh, thank you for loving Dream a Dream and our volunteers so beautifully. Thank you for all the things you do that everyone sees and the countless things you quietly do behind the scenes. There are days when I truly wonder where Dream a Dream — and I — would be without you two, and I’m very thankful I don’t have to find out. 🩷

Michael and I may have started Dream a Dream many years ago, but it has never belonged to just us. It has grown through the hands and hearts of people who believed in the dream enough to make it part of their own.

To every volunteer who has walked through our gates, loved our herd, encouraged a participant, picked up a shovel, carried a bucket, swept a barn aisle, helped at an event, worked behind the scenes, or simply said, “What can I do?” — THANK YOU.

You are part of every smile.
Every accomplishment.
Every moment of connection.
Every life touched.
Every hoofbeat. 🩷🐴

We hope yesterday made even a small dent in showing you just how deeply you are appreciated.

We love our Dream a Dream family beyond words. Thank you for helping us continue to provide love, hope, and healing and to change lives… one hoofbeat at a time. 🩷🐴🩷

What an incredible honor! ❤️🐴

We are so grateful to Dakota for choosing Dream a Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship as the organization he wanted to support through Braun & Butler’s charitable giving program.

There is something especially meaningful about knowing that someone personally chose Dream a Dream and believes in the work we do. As an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, gifts like this directly help us continue providing opportunities for children and individuals with disabilities to experience the confidence, connection, joy, and healing that can happen through a relationship with a horse.
