Movement is a team effort between your brain, nerves, muscles, and joints. Before you move, your brain sends signals that help coordinate your body and prepare for the action ahead.

This connection is one reason physical therapy focuses on more than just the area that hurts. Improving movement involves looking at the whole picture.

A concussion can affect more than just how you feel. Some individuals experience lingering symptoms that impact vision, balance, and daily activities.

Changes in eye coordination, tracking, and the ability to stabilize vision during movement can make tasks like reading, working, exercising, or returning to sports more challenging.

A physical therapy evaluation can help identify these symptoms and create a plan to support recovery.

Struggling with jaw pain, clicking, or headaches?

You may be dealing with Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction - a common condition that affects the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. The Temporalmandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to your skull and helps you talk, chew, and yawn. When this joint or its surrounding muscles aren’t working properly, it can lead to pain and limited movement. Get evaluated to see how we can help you!

Your knees handle a lot every day, from walking and climbing stairs to running and jumping. The meniscus acts like a cushion between the bones, helping absorb impact and support smooth movement.

When the meniscus is injured, physical therapy can help restore strength, mobility, and function. 🦵

Did you know a swimming pool can be more than just a place to cool off?

Aquatic therapy uses the natural properties of water to help patients begin active treatment with less stress on their bodies. The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints, while the resistance of water helps improve strength and mobility.

Whether it’s part of a supervised therapy program or simply staying active in the water during the summer, pool-based movement can be a great option for people who need a lower-impact way to exercise.

Aquatic therapy sessions are available at our Liberty clinic. Your therapist can help determine if exercising in the pool may be a good fit for your recovery.

As friends, families, and neighbors come together this Fourth of July, we're reminded of the strong communities that make days like these so meaningful.

This year is especially notable as America celebrates its 250th year, making the holiday a chance to reflect on both our history and the traditions we continue to share.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.

We had a wing competition at our clinic to settle the battle once and for all - who has the best Buffalo wings in the Northland. Al's in Parkville or the Peanut?

Al's wings are featured on the left by a former patient who is a true believer and the Peanut wings are featured on the right by Steve Adams, a die hard Peanut wing man.

Annnndddd..... the winner is..... THE PEANUT. 🏆

Who do you think has the best wings?

With only six months left until Christmas, it's time for Santa to start preparing for his busiest season.

A job that involves carrying gifts, climbing in and out of sleighs, and making rooftop landings around the world takes a lot of work. That's why the off-season is the perfect time to focus on strength, mobility, and recovery.

We're just helping Santa get ready for December.
