🌼 Why Calendula is a staple in my home…

The first photo was my son’s back after having an allergic reaction to a new laundry detergent. His skin became red, irritated, and uncomfortable.

It was right before bed when I discovered the rash. we then applied my calendula cream.

The second photo was taken the very next morning. Majority of the rash was gone.

Calendula has been used for centuries to help soothe irritated skin and support the skin’s natural barrier. It’s one of my favorite herbs because it’s gentle enough for the whole family.

People often reach for calendula to help comfort skin that’s experiencing:
🌿 Dryness
🌿 Redness
🌿 Minor irritation
🌿 Chafing
🌿 Rough patches
🌿 Skin stressed by everyday irritants

Without removing the irritant, the rash likely would have continued. Even after the detergent was gone, many mild contact rashes can take several days to a couple of weeks to completely resolve. I was so happy to see how calm his skin looked by the next morning.
