Join us for this kids’ yoga class featuring our Dempsey Dogs! Youth ages 5-12 are invited to join our Dempsey Dogs for a fun, active yoga experience - ’doga’! Meet other youth impacted by cancer and learn fun, dog-inspired, beginner yoga movements while bonding with our therapy dogs! All materials are provided, and participants will leave with a set of their very own Dempsey Doga cards.

Dempsey Dogs are trained and registered by Pet Partners. Cancer impacts everyone differently, but no one has to navigate the journey alone. 💙 Join us for two upcoming eight-week support and learning series designed to help individuals impacted by cancer find connection, share experiences, and gain practical tools for navigating the challenges ahead.

Finding Your Way: Living with Cancer
Tuesdays, beginning October 6th
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Dempsey Center - Rock Row Health Campus
Led by Emily Porensky, PhD
Open to adult Dempsey Center clients with a cancer diagnosis at any stage.

This is an eight-week in-person support and learning series for adults with a diagnosis of cancer. Each session will combine education and practical tools with meaningful group conversation and peer support, creating an opportunity to learn new ways of navigating the emotional and relational challenges you may be facing, while connecting with others who have been impacted by cancer.

Together, we’ll explore topics such as emotional adjustment, living with uncertainty, family and caregiving dynamics, identity and life changes, and the pressure to “stay positive.”

We knew that setting a goal of raising $1.9 million to support people impacted by cancer was lofty. But together, you didn't just meet that goal—you surpassed it, raising more than $2 million at the 2026 Dempsey Challenge! 💙

From the thousands of challengers and teams who showed up to the incredible supporters who cheered us on, you proved what's possible when a community comes together for a cause that matters.

Every dollar raised, every mile traveled, and every story shared makes a difference in the lives of people impacted by cancer. Your generosity helps ensure that the Dempsey Center can continue providing support, connection, and care at no cost to those who need it, when they need it.

From all of us at the Dempsey Center, thank you for being part of the 2026 Dempsey Challenge. For every story, every reason, and every person impacted by cancer, you showed up. And together, we're making a difference. 💙

We're still reeling over the incredible fundraising done by each and every Challenger during the 2026 Dempsey Challenge. Over 2,300 of you showed up to make life better for people impacted by cancer.

We’ve said in Challenges past that no one fights cancer alone…it takes a team. Whether that team is found in your friends, family, community, workplace, cancer center, or even online, a team that rallies around cancer patients, survivors, care partners, and bereaved individuals can truly have a positive impact on their journey.

Over 240 teams were formed to take on Dempsey Challenge this year... and we are pleased to share this year's Top Fundraising Teams!

Top Spinathon Team: Love You, Mean It
Top High School Challenge Team: Windham Eagles, led by
Top College Cup Team:
Top Corporate Team: WEX, Inc.
Top Small Business Team: Caring Community Cuisine
Top Friends + Family Team: Be The Miracle

Thank you and congratulations to each and every one of you!

Many people impacted by cancer can define a clear ‘before’ and ‘after’; the pivotal moment when cancer entered your life. While we may not ever be able to go back to the way things were, we can move forward with intention, creating anew, while discovering what became lost along the way.

Please join us for this community-building opportunity to design a mosaic of your new you, or now you. Both fine and gross motor skills will be employed during this activity as we engage in expressive arts and gentle movement.

Fall Wellness Retreat
Friday, October 2nd
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Dempsey Center - Rock Row, Westbrook, ME

Open to adult Dempsey Center clients. To register, please visit www.DempseyCenter.org, call us at 877-336-7287, or email us at [email protected]
