Fello Supporting people with disabilities and creating communities where everyone belongs. At Fello, we believe in the power of choice and community.

Our name reflects how we work—alongside others, with heart, purpose, and a deep commitment to connection. We partner with people with disabilities to provide support services, develop inclusive and accessible housing, and create spaces where people feel genuinely connected, not just accommodated.

A big thank you to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department for taking time out of their day to visit us at Fello Severn!

The crew gave us an up-close look at some of the equipment and tools they use every day to respond to emergencies and keep our community safe. We had plenty of questions along the way, and they took the time to answer every one of them.

Visits like this are a great opportunity to learn more about the people who serve our community while building connections with the first responders we may encounter out in the community.

Thank you, Anne Arundel County Fire Department, for stopping by and spending some time with us!

Progress isn't always a straight line. Sometimes the greatest advances come from protecting what's already been achieved while continuing to push for something better.

The 1980s were a decade of resilience for the disability rights movement. Advocates defended important protections, continued expanding opportunities for people with disabilities, and laid the foundation for one of the most significant civil rights laws in our nation's history, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The 1980s brought new challenges requiring advocates to protect what they'd achieved while continuing to push for expanded rights and access.

Better benefits. Healthier employees. A stronger Fello.

We're proud of how far we've come by reimagining what employee healthcare can look like. By listening to our employees, looking closely at the data, and reinvesting savings back into our people, we've been able to expand access to care while keeping costs down.

The results speak for themselves, and we're grateful to Ben Bohonowicz, Employee Benefit Services of RCM&D, and our partners for helping share the Fello story.

When you invest in your people, everyone benefits.

In addition to finding success with a self-funded model, an in-house program gives Fello's employees access to cost-free

There's something powerful about coming together through music.

Our neighbors at Live Arts Maryland, located right next to Fello at The Mall, joined us for the first of what will be monthly chorus classes focused on music, connection, and community.

With Kristin leading the chorus and Ken on piano, everyone learned to perform some familiar favorites, including "Stand by Me," "Lean on Me," and "Sweet Caroline."

It was a great reminder that music has a way of bringing people together, building confidence, and creating connections. We're already looking forward to singing together again next month!

Six days, one unforgettable adventure!

Tammy, Keith, Denise, and Mary, their Personal Support Assistant, recently set sail out of Baltimore for Bermuda on a six-day cruise, joined by Fello team members Eurica and Trish.

From exploring Bermuda to enjoying everything the ship had to offer, the group made plenty of memories along the way. And the best sign of a great vacation? They're already asking when they can go again!

Here's to new experiences, new adventures, and making memories together.

Together, we are Fello.

As Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates, Joseline Peña-Melnyk has been a champion for people with disabilities and policies that help Marylanders live, work, and thrive in their communities. A longtime advocate for the disability community, she has worked alongside advocates and self-advocates to turn community priorities into meaningful action, including as lead sponsor of the End the Wait Act, legislation aimed at helping people with disabilities access the services and supports they need without long delays.

Her leadership reflects a commitment to building a Maryland where people with disabilities have access to the services, supports, and opportunities they need to live the lives they choose.

We're proud to recognize Speaker Peña-Melnyk as a Fello at 65 honoree and celebrate her leadership and commitment to a more inclusive Maryland.

Celebrate with our honorees at Fello's 65th Anniversary Celebration on October 3 at The Hall at Live!

Lianna (pictured in the middle) is turning her passion for advocacy into an impact for others.

After working remotely for several years, Lianna recently attended her first in-person quarterly meeting with Liberty, where she conducts surveys of people receiving DDA services. This past year, Lianna and her team reached an impressive milestone of 400 completed surveys!

A longtime advocate, Lianna has been involved with People On the Go Maryland since 2007 and serves on the board of STIR (Steps Toward Independence and Responsibility).

Lianna, your determination, perseverance, and commitment to helping others make their voices heard inspire us. Keep making a difference!

Every two weeks, we welcome a new group of team members who are ready to make an impact at Fello.

This week's onboarding brought together another great group of new hires as they learned more about who we are, the work we do, and the important role they'll play in our mission.

We're excited to have them on the team and can't wait to see the connections they build and the difference they make. Welcome to Fello!

Every decade leaves its mark. The 1970s were a turning point, not just for disability rights, but for the growing belief that people with disabilities deserved to be included in their communities, schools, and everyday life.

This week's article explores a decade of advocacy and momentum. From expanding educational opportunities to strengthening community-based services, the 1970s helped lay the groundwork for a more inclusive future and for the work Fello continues today.

For 65 years, Fello has believed that people with disabilities should have a voice in the decisions that shape their lives.

Founded in 2022, Living Boldly is Fello's self-advocacy group, created by and for people with disabilities who are committed to using their voices, building leadership skills, and creating change in their communities.

Through education, collaboration, and community involvement, members of Living Boldly have become a powerful voice for inclusion and self-advocacy across Maryland. Their leadership shows what's possible when people with disabilities have the opportunity to speak up, shape decisions, and advocate for the changes they want to see.

We're incredibly proud to recognize the members of Living Boldly as Fello at 65 honorees and celebrate the impact they continue to have across Maryland.
