Arkansas RAPPS joins colleagues around the nation on the commemoration of NFHAAD which is an annual observance designed to engage faith communities across the United States in HIV/AIDS education, prevention, treatment, care, and support.

It aims to reduce stigma and discrimination and to foster unity among people of faith in the fight against the HIV epidemic. We at Arkansas RAPPS and The Strilite Foundation have been steadfast in our efforts to provide linkage to care, Prep access and addressing the issue of "Housing as Prevention," through our House of LOVE project.

This day also encourages faith leaders and congregations to learn about HIV funding and to take action to sustain and expand prevention, treatment, and care services.

We encourage all faith leaders to reach out to [email protected] about how your congregation can be involved in reducing new HIV infections across the state.

We are encouraged as well as applaud all breakthroughs and updates to the care continuum. This new modality has been developed for people on complex, multi-pill regimens, Bixlenvo could be a once-daily, single-pill option could simplify HIV treatment.

“It represents another important step forward in the evolution of two-drug regimens, offering heavily treatment-experienced people with HIV and those on complex ART regimens an opportunity to simplify to a potent two-drug regimen,” says HIV specialist.

In recognition of Southern HIV Awareness Day 2026, Arkansas RAPPS would like to encourage individuals to join us for the webinar from the Reunion project's Long-term Survivor Toolkit Series “Living and Loving in 3D: Dating and Disclosure with Dignity” featuring Dr. Myron Krys, PhD, LPC.

We believe that this session is critically needed across our local community. Especially as we continue to grapple with needed access for mental well-being, HIV criminalization issues and a greater need for counseling resources for our brothers and sisters.

This session will explore how to navigate dating, disclosure, navigating rejection, emotional safety, and intimacy with confidence and self-compassion.

This interactive webinar will cover:
Modern dating and HIV
Disclosure and U=U
Building trust and emotional safety
Moving beyond stigma toward authentic connection

Whether you're actively dating, thinking about dating again, or simply reflecting on what intimacy means to you, this conversation offers practical tools, community, and hope.

Because you are more than your diagnosis—you deserve love, connection, and joy.
