The Receipts of a Woman Who Gets It Done 🧾✨

💐Behind this smile was a whole lunch-break hustle, a heavy battle I’m still fighting, and a near-miss where I almost dropped the birthday cake. 🎂
But guess what? The cake survived, the party happened, and the people I love were taken care of.
🌹Sometimes your biggest win isn't a flawless victory. It’s the messy, high-speed hustle where you refuse to let the pieces fall.
💐To anyone fighting a quiet battle while still showing up for everyone else:...

🌹 You’re doing it!

You are capable. You can do hard things. Take a bow. 👑

🌻Two people from the same storm cannot give each other shelter.🌻Sis, familiar is not the same as safe. Someone raised in overflow gives from overflow. Shhh....his foundation is your ceiling. 🤫 Be quiet... in the chaos and observe. Vet accordingly. 🧵👇

🫆True emotional regulation requires a body-first approach.
🫆That is why, this week, we are featuring NormaTec compression therapy at the spa.
🫆While these compression sleeves are usually marketed to elite athletes for muscle recovery, they are actually one of the most powerful tools in our space for somatic healing and emotional grounding.

🫆By applying targeted, rhythmic compression to the hips and thighs, we send a physical cue to the brain that the threat has passed.
🫆 It allows these heavily armored areas of the body to finally soften, surrender, and let go of the weight they've been carrying.

🤓1. Releasing the Trauma Stored in Our Hips and Thighs. In yoga therapy and somatic therapy, we know that the lower body—specifically the hips, psoas muscle, and thighs—is where we store primal stress. When you are in a chronic state of hypervigilance, your body prepares to fight or flee, tightening the large muscles of the lower body.
🤓2. Turning Off Fight-or-Flight (The Somatic Science)The sequential pulsing of the NormaTec sleeves mimics Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT). This firm, rhythmic pressure stimulates deep mechanoreceptors in your tissue, which sends a direct signal to your vagus nerve.Your vagus nerve is the highway of your parasympathetic nervous system—the "rest-and-digest" state.
🤓3. The compression tricks your brain into feeling safely held and anchored. As your heart rate slows and your blood pressure drops, the physiological alarm system shuts down, instantly interrupting anxious or racing thought loops.

🌱Come Experience the Shift!

🌱This week we're biohacking our way into creating a felt sense of safety inside our own skin. 🌱Whether you are navigating a heavy week, navigating significant anxiety, or just need a reset our doors are open.
🌱Book your featured NormaTec session this week, and give your nervous system the permission it needs to learn to rest.

A food....mood...moment...well maybe?!?!

Here me out... what if you stop romanticizing the version of you that's on your vision board, and start noticing the version of you that's still standing? The one who is fighting for you every single day. Tired, disappointed, scared, and sometimes in pieces. Romanticize the absolute fk out of her!

Sing this to that part of you! Over....and over...and over again.🌱

Wow, today was filled with all the feels. Thank you for your vulnerability, your community, and the grit that allows you to keep showing up for yourself. You are the masterpiece... right now!

🫆Releasing the "Grip" of Trauma (The Psoas Connection)
🌱When we experience systemic stress, trauma, or chronic anxiety, our bodies instinctively prepare to fight or flee. This survival response chronically tightens the deep core—specifically the diaphragm and the psoas muscles (often called the "muscles of the soul").
🌱The Somatic Shift: Uddiyana Bandha forces a profound, conscious release of these exact areas. By creating an internal vacuum, you mechanically stretch and unburden a hyper-vigilant diaphragm.
🌱The Healing Outcome: It physically coaxes a chronically braced belly to soften, signaling to the nervous system that it is finally safe to let go of the armor-The Holistic Practitioner 🌱

I’ve been in the kitchen concocting a new wellness blend for this week’s theme: I exist. I take up space. As a holistic practitioner, yoga therapist, and licensed mental health clinician, I love integrating mind, body, and spirit. This week, we are diving into whole-spine movement, practicing Uddiyana Bandha for core activation, diffusing rosemary and sage for mental clarity, and flowing to binaural beats. Plus, we are fueling up with a beet, pineapple, lemon, blueberry, and ginger elixir.
