One year in — and we are blown away. 💛

When we opened our doors a year ago, we honestly didn't know what to expect. What has unfolded since has surpassed anything we could have imagined. In just twelve months, we’ve successfully built the kind of practice we envisioned for our community, we’ve received tremendous support and love from our community, we’ve had the privilege of serving almost 1,800 patients and counting, and we capped the year off with the addition of two new outstanding providers, Margaret Stramel and Rebekka Amick.

None of this happens without our team and we can’t say enough about our nurse, Lauren Lacher, our front desk administrator, Keiro Cullen, and our Wendy England who is always available in a bind and keeps things running smoothly so our patients never know when we’re shorthanded.

But most importantly, we want to thank our community of patients. Thank you for trusting us with your health, for recommending us to your friends and family, and for being part of The Batson Clinic story from the very beginning.

Leading our aesthetics services is Margaret Stramel, APRN. Margaret holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is an AANP-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience across urgent care, primary care, and inpatient settings. When you’re in our chair, you’re not being seen by an injector with a weekend certification — you’re being cared for by a provider with a deep understanding of facial anatomy, pharmacology, and the medical standards that govern safe practice. That foundation is what makes the difference.

And because these services are offered right here under the same roof as your primary care provider, you can enjoy the convenience of managing your health and your aesthetic goals all in one place — in a setting where your full health picture is already understood.

Have you met Rebekka?!

We are excited to announce that Rebekka Amick, APRN is joining The Batson Clinic starting Monday, July 27th!

Rebekka is an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist with over two decades of nursing experience. She is a certified Obesity Medicine Specialist (through the Obesity Medicine Association) and someone who genuinely believes that great care starts with taking the time to listen.

Most recently Rebekka worked at UAMS in the weight management and endocrinology department where her approach went beyond the prescription — guiding patients through nutrition, activity, and behavioral changes that make for lasting results. She has also served as an APRN in a UAMS primary care clinic, managing patients across a broad range of adult and geriatric health needs.

Her patient-first philosophy and comprehensive approach have earned her numerous accolades including a Daisy Award, and the 2024 AANP Nurse Practitioner State Award for Excellence. She currently serves as the president of the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association.

When we started our search for a second provider, we didn't know who we'd find — we only knew we were seeking someone truly exceptional. From the moment we met Rebekka, it was clear she was exactly who we were looking for. We are lucky to bring someone with her knowledge and experience to The Batson Clinic.

Outside of the clinic, Rebekka is a proud wife and mom to two boys. You'll likely find her traveling with her family, catching a live concert, or cheering on the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. 🐯🏈
