Did you know heat therapy and certain heart or blood pressure medications don't always mix?

When you sit in the sauna, the heat naturally widens your blood vessels to help cool you down, which drops your blood pressure. Normally, your heart speeds up to compensate and keep blood flowing smoothly.

However, beta-blockers are designed to keep your heart rate steady and low. Combined with extreme heat, your heart can't speed up to balance out that drop in blood pressure. This can cause sudden dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting—and it can also make it harder for your body to sweat and regulate its temperature properly.

Sauna is safe and deeply restorative for most people. Listen to your body, stay hydrated, and honor what feels good. 😊
